Yeah I totally agree lmao. You're basically taking a massive opportunity cost by giving up Pact of Blade (which makes a decent fighter) and Pact of Tome (which is probably optimal warlock).

In exchange you basically get conditional omniscience and control of your physical surroundings. Your Imp can keep guard at night from the skies. With the Voice invocation, they can go any distance and still take your commands and give you audiovisual feed of what they're seeing. They can morph into a rat to squeeze through a grate to go start some contraption or eavesdrop. They can retrieve key items and valuabled. And they can do all this while invisible with +5 Stealth.

I'm not very familiar with the people I'm playing so I decided I should try and make something cool and fun than something more tactically efficient, since I'm not sure how well I'll bounce off them naturally. I got away with playing a goofy optimized Fighter in my last session because everyone there was super fun.

Pact of the Tome gives you half of Pact of the Chain, anyway, since you can use it to take Find Familiar.

If you like that just roll up a dude who uses Scimitars and focuses on crits.

There's one that casts Call Lightning on everyone you crit.

I gave it to Tristian, it was great.

Sudden aside: I got Jubilost to 20 because I thought that Legendary breakthrough not whatever would be dope.

Turns out it was an choice of like 3 things and the only one I remember was just giving him permanent Fast Healing 5.

Useful but not sexy, I wanted him to build a grenade launcher or something.

I don't think Summoner is in the game, unfortunately. It's one of my favorite PF classes, the customizability of the Eidolon is just too cool.
If I play through again, I'll probably do Druid or the Bard subtype that can sing lightning storms. I found a wand of Call Lightning and it was just too funny.

I found a crown that bumped up their blast damage just RIDICULOUSLY in the last part of their quest.

Had to literally walk across lava to get it, but my Sorcerer is immune to fire.

Seriously, I think it was like +6d6 at least.

Would have been nice if there hasn't been like 2 hours left in the game.

Burn basically let's you use improvements to your elemental blasts. Once you're burn is full you can only use the basic blasts, or abilities that don't cost any burn. Combining elements, using activated abilities like the heal, and adding shapes to your blasts all cost burn, but you can reduce the burn cost of certain things. I think judgements are basically buffs that Jaethal can activate for a certain duration, she can only have on active at a time though. I'm not sure, I don't use her much.

I'm playing a Magus, it feels really powerful, but you have to sit and cast a bunch of buffs, first. Oh, since you, or someone, said they didn't get how Magus works earlier? Basically, you turn on the Magus special casting ability, then any time you cast a melee touch spell it's cast through your weapon instead of as a touch spell, so you get weapon damage and spell damage at the same time.

I'm mostly fine with the animation now. I went straight from Korra to this, so maybe it was just culture shock. The chase and fight scenes were pretty smooth. It's mostly just the fluidity that's an issue, the style itself is pretty good even if I'm not a huge fan of the character design. I think I just associate the 3D character thing too much with cheaply made shows for preschoolers.

I'm pretty happy with the plot though. I finished the third episode which seems like the kicking off point since it's when Reyla, Callum, and Ezram(?) leave the castle and go to take the egg back. The first episode was super blah, but it picked up almost immediately in the second. It's not playing things as straight as I initially thought and there are a few interesting plot hooks.

I think I'm the least interested in the three main characters, particularly Ezram. He's not really done anything so far except be the plucky little kid. Reyla and Callum are good, just nothing mindblowing yet. That said, I have hopes for the other two. Reyla knowing that her buddies killed their dad and hiding it is good. Callum not knowing if the king knew about the egg and then deciding to abandon him is great.

The Dark Magician and his daughter, Dark Magician Girl are interesting. I like that he's not all doom and gloom. I honestly wasn't sure if he was going to be an antagonist because he's quite jovial, but then he stole Callum's voice with a desiccated hand so I guess that's kind of answered. Even then, they prefaced that scene with the king being a complete dick to him when I'm pretty sure he was going to offer up his life, so it's still not completely black and white. I'd also forgotten about a mirror he was fondling, so maybe he's secretly talking with elves through it? Dark Magician Girl is kind of the same way. She's setup to be Callum's love interest and she has some of that bright anime moe bullshit going on, but then she summons demon wolves and captures an elf to do god-knows-what to him. And then you have their son/brother, Celtic Guardian, who just seems like a pretty chill dude but is also related to two people doing soul magic.

I REALLY want to hear more of your takes as you continue watching the show.
