FF12 Gilgamesh has 3 million HP, same as Dark Odin or Titan. Not close to Dreambreaker's 4.5 million (the updated stronger one might though)

Also you want to beat them all for the rat tails, that's gonna be pretty rough for niche realms if you squeaked by with anima lens'd stuff.

You don't need to do them it's more of a nice bonus. Plus with dreambreakers being so BS it's a way to pass the time till powercreep makes them more manageable (or moreso 6* motes and anima lens+ become more frequent)

Ugh I can't seem to beat magic vulnerable Titan. First two phases are piss easy but the third phase is way too bulky, even with Ultimecia's bUSB entry overwriting the def/res/mind buff, and I run out of hones. Also it's really tough with Alphinaud since he has to juggle chain/sync/Awakening.

Really wish I had Ulti's wind glint or that Emperor had a better wind infusion than his BSB. Wonder if I should drop Emperor for Zack so he can stack imperils.

They have their own rewards of crystals and an artifact stone. Not essential but I guess it's more a of test to prepare for Wodin since he has major rewards for beating the physical/magical vulnerable versions of him.

Also you don't need awakening/syncs to sub30 D450 torments, most of the USBs that were torment trap banners are in the anima lens shop. Awakenings just makes it way easier.

5 450 Torments down now at sub 30 (III, V, X, XIII, T). Could probably get some more but I'm just gonna wait till the quests roll out.

You have Rem's Sync right? You can probably do T-0 since Rem is so broken. You just need Deuce or an off realm bard to use Allegro and have mages or an entrustbot.

I got a new sub17 record on him with Ace's sync and Rem Awakening and using Sice as a mage since she has a dualcast dark LMR2.

If you're desperate to beat Ramuh or Valefor it might be worth the risk, but not if you're trying to get fire stuff. Shiva's one of the easiest 6* magicite and there's plenty of fire awakenings and syncs.

The FFBE characters are Wodin viable but yeah no use in Dreambreakers means I have no use for them. When the event was announced in Japan I said it was the worst time to introduce a beyond character since Dreambreakers were the new meta.

I've beaten all 6* Magicite and I can confirm that the Omni boon isn't enough to replace stat boost boons on some of them. 6* Magicite bosses and Odin are way stronger than 5* Magicite and d450 torments.

Fast act isn't really that useful since the bosses are designed around quickcast buffs like Elara USB1 (IE in Odin and Titan's third phase you only have ten turns before they instant kill.) A stat boon would be more useful.

I don't think you'll really need mind/heal boon either if you 6* mote dive your healer.

Oh yeah I forgot about those free 5* Magicite. I think when those came out I just used them as inheritance fodder for my Valefor or Alexander Magicite so I didn't have them for long.

Def+20 is still pretty nice to inherit to other Magicite since 6* Magicite bosses do use non piercing attacks frequently. Especially for mage teams.

You'll want a Adamantoise as main magicitie for earth weak Odin because he uses an overstrike + stun attack early in the fight and Adamantoise's summon give the party a lighting blink, so you're gonna need three more.

Manticore is the weekly magicite for 6* motes so you might as well get him now.

With the Anima Lens+ I got from this week's stroke of the brush I used them to get the last sapphires needed to get Ace's HA! Now I should kill Manticore even faster.

I should also try magic vulnerable Shiva but I'm waiting for the dream selects (of hopefully from one of the free 40 draws from the FFBE event this week) to get Ace's dualcast LMR.

Some Odins are harder than their 6* magicite counterpart (Titan and Alexander are MUCH easier than Wind Weak and Dark Weak Odin) and if you have Rem's Sync Diabolos is completely pacified by it.

Titan can actually be cheesed with stuff in the Anima Lens shop.

Which Odins are you having trouble with? And you attempted 6* magicite? Even having 1 level 50 6* magicite is huge help because of the fixed damage breaking savage mode.

I got her HA because I have both her dualcast LMRs and she gets a high chance of dualcasting or even triplecasting with them. That said this boss still sucks ass cuz if you go too fast he starts using his really painful spells before Vanille has the meter to recover, or she's using her glint over overwrite the slow or dispell and she can't get the ATB bar full before she can use a medica USB during that flurry of pain. Guess that shows I'm not ready for the dreambreaker (not that I have the 6* motes to dive FF13 characters for it anyway.)

Y'know the funny thing is because Orlandeau lacks dark infusion outside of his glint+ that came out recently Decil with just his USB is more viable for Alexander than Orlandeau without his glint+ even with his Awakening because of the severe no infusion damage penalty 6* magicite have. Well unless you buff Orlandeau with a crit damage boost like Elara USB2 but you might as well use dark Cloud stuff from the Anima Lens shop if you want to break cap on Alexander.

I tried to do the Tactics one but since I didn't get Marche Awakening or Orlandeau stuff I can't beat him, I'd rather just ignore them for the meantime even though I have nothing else left to beat till Wodin. I'm just saving for the fest with the 500 mythril stamp system and saving my tickets for the refresh.

HA ability wise I want Paines, CoD and maybe Rem's if I pick her Sync during that fest.

I 100 gem'd Fang's dualcast Lmr, sheesh seems like when I do 100 gem something for FF13 it's always Fang stuff.

Oh I also changed my RW to Edward's Awakening and I'm getting so many greens!

But Ability Double was the best type of DPS in the pre Awakening days, and his USB1 debuted a lot earlier than Awakenings did. Don't you remember that Vivi/Orlandeau/Palom/Shantotto were considered top tier in the 5* magicite meta? 5* weren't even designed around Awakenings which is why they get crushed so hard by them, and why Dena pushed Brave USBs so much. Awakenings were made for Odin+ level bosses, bosses with twice or higher the amount of HP 5* magicite have.

If I remember right the top DPS for Madeen on launch day were Golbez USB2, Vayne USBs and Seymour USB (oh Riku Awakening if you count that but we got it way earlier than Japan got Madeen) Decil USB was in the top 10, maybe top 5 DPS for Madeen (plus it's not like Madeen was really ever considered hard anyway, she's one of the easiest 5* magicite, just one of the most annoying to sub30.)

Ability Double was the best kind of USB before Awakenings came out so it's not like Decil was some kind of underdog like say Riku using his USB for chases to build chain on Madeen.

Radiant Shield stalling stuff is still used today because some people have no other way to beat Ramuh, it took them 3 hours to kill him but it worked.

There's definitely lots of poverty setups and free to play strategies for this game, just look at what SacredX has done. Since the Anima Lens store was updated recently there's plenty of USBs to beat most content up to 5* magicite and Torment right now, heck some people even beat Dark Odin and some 6* magicite with anima lens stuff and a few RNG/_____ Select relics.

I literally used Dark Knight Cecil as a mage dps to beat Madeen because he was the best suited for the task given the relics I'd drawn as probably the most dumb example off the top of my head of what weird things I've made work in this game.

Using a physical dark character as a dark mage isn't that left field or even using a mage as a physical DPS like Emperor, especially with Artifacts. For a while Orlandeau was considered the second best dark mage in the game since he was the second character to get a dark Awakening.

Truly weird stuff is like that guy who beat Earth Weak Odin with no Awakenings just Bartz USB 1/2, Ingus chain and Yang, using Barret USB against Adamantoise or me beating Mateus with Vaan BSB + USB1 and using Meliadoul to help beat Earth Weak Odin.

You beat Mateus and have Alphinaud awakening don't you? You can go after Typhon, he's one of the easiest to beat of you have an Awakening that can break his savage mode just as long as you're able to keep the speed up with a bard and a quickcast healer USB or Edea's Marche clone USB.

I finally got around to beating Dark-Weak Odin (a year after he debuts, oy) And with a level 50 Diabolos magicite to boot! (I really don't wanna fight Diabolos again until I can pick Rem's sync with the stamp system)

I used to have Sephiroth in the first slot but he ended up being too much of a meter hog and Tyro needs that meter for his glint/usb1 and entrusting Elara. He was having trouble breaking cap anyway when Odin got to rage level 3. I swapped him Gaffgarion who I thought was a dud but his command 2 on his sync is an overstrike which keeps Odin's level down making it easier for Kiros to tear through him to get through the third phase ASAP.

That just leaves lolBio Odin but ehhhhh.....

You should have plenty of rubies from the Dreams dungeons, unless you spent them all as soon as you get them.

Great Form should have been an ASAP get since it's Assault Saber without the defense penalty and it gets a (minor) damage reduction instead.

Do you have an earth imperiler? That's what was holding me back on that Odin. You can get Meliadoul's USB off anima lenses and her lm2 has a decent chance of imperil when using earth abilities. Dorgan is also an option with his BSB and LMR2 if you have that, and he has a dualcast lm2 which Meliadoul lacks. With two 6* earth knight abilities out they shouldn't need to worry about running out of hones (or you can wrath with them.)

You can use mixed parties for Odin, there's no magic/physical damage penalty like *5/6 magicite .

Holy seems like the best choice, two Awakenings and a gen2 chain. Do you also have Rem's USB1? That's a major mind boost + quickcast which can help.

Ice weak, Holy weak and Earth weak are considered the easiest Odins.

Odin borrows traits of the 5* magicite he shares the element with, IE Water Weak has Phoenix's speed and Belias' high damage, Earth Weak has Adamantoise's bulk and Hecat's quick casts. Ironically the Ice weak is the exception and doesn't really use either of Typhon or Syldra's tricks which is why that one's considered the easiest.

Yeah I went with Yuna, I also forgot I had her dualcast summon LMR from a grab bag so that sealed the deal.

I also got a disco off the daily today! That's one of the worse fears in this game is get what you just paid for in a dream select and then dupe it on the daily! But it was Edgar's Glint+ so that's a relief.

Last day of the dream select, and I still haven't chosen an awakening!

It's a toss up between Bartz 1, Yuna, Auron, Ashe or Tyro.

Bartz 1 has evaded me for so long and it would go great with his AASB2, but he gets 3 more dualcast spellblade Awakenings later that I kinda feel I'll get one of those eventually. It's wind boosting armor though.

Yuna's always held me back in FFX Cid Missions because I lack an instant cast medica for her.

Auron gets a OSB HA later and seeing how awesome Beatrix has been it's worth considering for Wodin. Dunno if it will be useful in dreambreaker since I already have Paine Awakening/Marche clone USB and plan to get her HA. Then again two characters with OSB HA will make Savage modes a non issue.

Ashe would be nice for magical Leviathan clear and I have no DPS awakenings for FF12, but the dreambreaker hasn't even come out in Japan yet.

Even though I already have USB4 Tyro's Awakening would go great for longer battles when he runs of out hones, and the attack buff is nice too. He' going to be in pretty much every dreakbreaker for his OSB anyway, but I feel regretful picking something so similar to what I already have.

The last FFT event prior to the current one was Marach, Rapha and Ramza focused where they got their awakenings and other modern tech.

Bad news for Marach is that he lacks enlightening outside of his LMR so he's not viable for Leviathan, and he probably can't cut the mustard on Zalera.

Hooo boy what a nightmare! (no pun intended) Funnily enough I didn't even use Beatrix's sync, just her awakening with dualcasted Seiken Shocks was the better option for phase 3 since it keeps Diabolos' savage level down so Marche and Ramza can actually do damage. I was lucky though since if Ramza didn't triple cast in the third phase while Diabolos' savage modes were down and before he buffed his defenses I wouldn't have beaten him.

Diabolos is the worst designed boss in the game as far as I'm aware. That third phase is fucking unbeatable if you can't kill him in three turns, and that's on top of all the micromanagement BS you already have to deal with. Even with all the planning and script reading it all just comes down to beat him in the first 3 turns in phase 3 or he bulks himself up that you can't damage him to kill or even break savage anymore and every attack is fatal and has sap.

I have Tyro''s glint. I got really close to beating him today, but the biggest hurdle is actually Beatrix's Sync of all things, because when she's at critical damage under sync she does an AOE that also destroys the rift when I'm trying to stay in the real world and sends me to the dream world. And the turns I waste trying to break the rift again I could have used to kill him if she didn't do that AOE cost me the time I have before he starts spamming those Gehenna whatevers and reduces my damage to 3 digits.

Mog will probably be useful for stuff like the stronger Omega when he returns or WOdin so it's more probably bang for your buck.

Man I still can't beat Diabolos even with Beatrix sync and the new Knight ability, what a shitty ass boss!

Why couldn't I have gotten Marche Awakening... fucking RNG. I feel like this game just isn't fun anymore with Diabolos and these Dreambreakers. I feel like I'm at a point where the content left to do is too frustrating and relic dependant and I've hit a wall.

Hopefully FF12 Gilgamesh will put some faith back into this game again.
