A quick Google search says there are about 55 million elementary and secondary level students in the US. Even with a super low infection rate of say, 2%...thats still over a million sick kids. Now say a super low percentage of those kids die from the virus, maybe 1% or even 0.5%, that's still around 6000 dead kids. And that's not to mention the family members and friends they will spread it to. That's ok to you? Cuz it's not ok to me. For what? To get kids back in school asap?..nah we need a better plan. I'm not exactly sure what that plan is, but it's gotta be better than 6000 dead kids. --- |

This country handled this terribly. We need at acknowledge that and accept the consequences. Shit needs to be shut down, and shut down for real this time. That means no opening schools. If online school isn't a feasible option, then we put school on hold for now. Yes, it sucks, but if done correctly there is a chance that we could get this thing under control. So yes, children would be behind a year in school but they'll be alive. They can make up that year, they can extend schooling. Again, it sucks, but better than the alternative of dying or watching friends and family die. Face it, Trump is an absolute moron and I have no idea how anyone can still support or defend him. --- |

Few cool people my age working the grills together, cpl hot chicks our age working the registers. A bunch of us became friends and hung out outside of work. I was mostly on the grills, but would fill in wherever was needed. It was a fun job. Got busy sometimes and had a huge list of orders. But making the stuff became so routine that it wasn't really difficult. We could pretty much do it without thinking. Some asshole customers of course, but that wasn't my problem. The shift manager dealt with all that. I think it's a great job for a teenager or whatever. --- Big Blue! |
