But then again a small pool of women could be dating many men. That doesn't explain where the imbalance comes from. If you had 100 women and 100 men and 100 women would date the top 10 men. Why would those 10 men put up with those bottom 90 women when they could have the top 10. What stops the women putting up with the bottom 90 men?

While I don't necessarily disagree with you that the Internet has made social skills a bit lower on the totem pole, I don't think that's the problem here as much as well, what others have said.

The worst part about dating apps and stuff like Tinder is the fact that it almost does validate a LOT of the fears those kinds of people have. Don't get me wrong, those types are normally way too deep into their own depression, hatred, and anger for me to fully sympathize and call them right (The whole red pill shit is cringe as hell). But there is no denying that dating apps and the lack of face to face chance communication is absolutely having an impact on the possible dating pool of most people.

In this age girls have literally an entire Internet of guys to choose from. Join a dating app and they will have 20 guys lining up and sending them messages before they even send one to any of the guys. They can pick and choose who they want and there's no real pressure or need to talk to anyone that's less than top tier. If you aren't handsome as fuck, have a well paying job, or are able to sell yourself via text, you're practically dead in the water when it comes to getting attention.

And real life meet ups? Those are just starting to become obsolete to an extent. The best place to go to try this out would be bars and clubs, but even those have the same problem of if you aren't immediately interesting and able to sell yourself.

I've written way too much on this and thought about this wayy too much, but it's honestly the truth that the social media era and Internet connections have made this sort of stuff way, way more difficult for a large subset of males, whereas the same troubles aren't going to be found for females.

That doesn't really make sense. There's the same number of women as there are men. If you are saying that there are more men than women on dating apps then there must be more women who are dating people they meet in person.
