What's the biggest landslide in election history?

I think Reagan beat Mondale with 49 states (Mondale won his own state).

I hope its a landslide for Biden but I don't think it'll be THAT landslide. I'd be pretty happy if the republicans lost Texas, but at the very least they are forcing Trump to divert resources there.

Yeah. Gorsuch is obviously a conservative and will rule accordingly, but he always seemed to me to really be looking into each case and not really considering the President's precious little feelings. Kavanaugh I kinda assumed was going to be a rubber stamp, but glad he wasn't here at least.

It's not something completely impossible to happen, but I spend way too much time and energy worrying about what if my daughter died, or worse, what if I did something to cause it? Like I'm driving and am totally at fault in an accident, or take her to the park and she falls off a playground thing and breaks her neck or something. >_>

I mean I'm sure its normal to worry about your kids to SOME extent but I think I go way overboard.

Yeah.

I'm a Never-Trump Republican. Lifelong. Voted for W TWICE! Managed to vote for McCain despite Palin being a moron. Happily voted for Mittens.

I just assumed obviously Hillary will win in a landslide so I voted third party in 2016.

Considered it this time, but unless something just incredibly weird happens (which... well, 2020 is weird, so we'll see) I'll vote for Biden. I don't *want* Biden or any democrat to be President. But anyone short of an even more cartoon villain than Trump is, is better than Trump. A democrat will probably do things I don't like half the time. Trump will do things I don't like 99% of the time and continue to mutilate whatever is left of the corpse of the GOP.

Bush gets too much hate for the war. Did he screw up? Oh yeah. But that storm was coming no matter who sat in the big chair. Its not like Bush was the only world leader who decided to jump into Iraq. You can say the other countries were just following Americas lead but thats a cop out from people who dont want to admit their own countrys fuck ups.

Yeah, and, I don't know if it really gives him bonus points or not, but... I really think Bush acted on what he thought was good intel. Did everyone think it was good intel? Did his advisors that fed it to him know it was bad? I have no idea, but I think he acted with what he had the best way he could. And yeah it had sucky results that he's responsible for, but I don't think he just did it for his own reasons like avenging his father or something like the narrative was. Trump just does things because he wants to regardless of the outcome for everyone else.

It would be interesting (and scary) to swap Trump back in for Bush in various circumstances.

Like Cindy Sheehan lost her son in the war and then protested at... could've been the White House, but maybe it was the Crawford Ranch? Or both? I forget, but she was basically there all the time protesting Bush. Bush didn't bring it up. Trump would be ranting about her every day.

Yeah, and while I may agree with the BLM and shrug off a MAGA one because people can support whatever they want, if I'm in charge of a business I realize that a *LOT* of people are supercharged one way or the other on these things. Some customers are going to flip out at one or the other. I don't want to deal with that as a manager--so no statement of any kind on a mask seems like a good rule.
