Iran has issued an arrest warrant for US President Donald Trump over the drone strike that killed a top Iranian general in January, the semi-official Fars news agency reported Monday.
Trump is one of 36 people Iran has issued arrest warrants for in relation to the death of Qasem Soleimani, commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), according to Fars, but the Tehran attorney general Ali Alqasi Mehr said Trump was at the top of the list.
Mehr claimed Trump would be prosecuted as soon as he stands down presidency after his term ends, Fars reported.
Iran also said it had asked Interpol to issue a Red Notice for these 36 individuals, semi-official state news agency ISNA reported, though it was unlikely that Interpol would grant the request. CNN has contacted Interpol for comment.
Soleimani was killed in a US drone strike at Baghdad International Airport in January along with five others, including Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy head of the Iran-backed Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).
The strike, condemned by Iran and its allies as an "assassination," raised the specter of further regional destabilization.
A spokesman for Iran's judiciary, Gholam-Hossein Esmaili, announced in early June that an Iranian citizen had been sentenced to death for allegedly working for foreign intelligence agencies. Esmaili claimed that Seyed Mahmoud Mousavi Majd disclosed the whereabouts of Soleimani to US intelligence officials.
The Trump administration viewed Soleimani as a ruthless killer, and the President told reporters in January that the general should have been taken out by previous presidents.
The Pentagon blamed Soleimani for the deaths of hundreds of Americans and US allies in the months leading up to his killing.
"General Soleimani was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region," the Pentagon said at the time, calling the strike "decisive defensive" action aimed at deterring future Iranian attacks.

Police in California are searching for a woman accused of coughing on a 1-year-old boy at a frozen yogurt shop because she believed his mother was not properly socially distancing.
Mother Mireya Mora took her 1-year-old son in a stroller last Friday to a Yogurtland location in San Jose, California. She says while they were standing in a line, a female customer in front of her got mad, saying Mora was too close to her.
It happened so quick, and I was in shock that she got close, she took off her mask really fast and she coughed in my sons face, Mora said. Coughing on someones face, she did it on purpose. Its not that she coughed on accident. No, she purposely coughed on my sons face.
Mora says her son had a slight fever following the incident but is feeling better. She is hopeful he wont catch COVID-19.
If he were to get sick I cant even imagine, she said.
Police released surveillance video of the incident Monday, asking for the publics help to identity the suspect in the assault case. They say she coughed near the 1-year-olds face at least twice.
I believe this woman might be racist Me and my grandma are Hispanic, and she started telling me about my distance and harassing me and my son once I started speaking Spanish to my grandma, she said.
The suspect is described as a white female in her 60s with a medium build. She was wearing a gray bandana, glasses, long sleeve shirt with gray vertical lines, white dress pants and patterned tennis shoes at the time of the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Dan Bowman of the San Jose Police Departments Assaults Unit.

A passenger has been kicked off an American Airlines flight after he refused to wear a face mask.
Brandon Straka, a supporter of president Trump, who describes himself as a former liberal, tweeted that he had been removed from an American Airlines flight, after refusing to follow their guidelines.
On Monday, American Airlines published a news release, where they reiterated that their policy is that all passengers need to wear a face mask when on board one of their flights.
They added: Some passengers are exempt from the face covering requirement, such as young children and those with a disability or medical reason for why they cannot wear a face covering. The policy also does not apply while eating or drinking.
Mr Straka tweeted on Wednesday: I was just removed from my flight for not wearing a mask. 1st time this has happened. Not a federal law.
@AmericanAir staff standing over me telling me its THE LAW. So much for please respect those who can not wear a mask. When I pointed out this wasnt a law I was removed.
After he was kicked off the flight, Mr Straka, recorded a video on Periscope, detailing what happened on the flight.
Mr Straka added: This is insane, absolutely insane. We dont even have a choice anymore. Its not the law, as you know, its not the law.
Astead Wesley, a journalist at the New York Times, said: He just got off the plane and ppl applauded lmaooo.
In a video he recorded while onboard the flight, a second man could be heard arguing with airline staff, saying that they also didnt feel like they needed to wear a mask.
American Airlines confirmed to the Independent that Mr Straka was kicked off a flight to Dallas on Wednesday.
They said: Prior to the departure from the gate of American Airlines flight 1263 from New Yorks LaGuardia to Dallas/Fort Worth, Brandon Straka declined to wear a face covering.
After he refused to comply with the instructions provided by the flight crew, our team members asked him to deplane. He deplaned and the flight departed the gate four minutes late at 12:34pm ET.
They added: Mr. Straka stated to our airport team members that he would comply with our policies, and was rebooked on a later flight. Our team is reviewing this incident, and we are reaching out to Mr. Straka to get more information.

The family of a 24-year-old who drowned while police looked on, instead of coming to his aid, are outraged after seeing the events unfold on body camera video.
Officers with the police department in Decherd, Tennessee, right outside of Winchester, were in a car pursuit in the early morning hours of June 4, trying to pull over Johnny Baldwin for a minor traffic violation, Winchester Police Chief Richard Lewis told ABC News on Wednesday.
As Baldwin drove down a dead end, Winchester police joined Decherd officers in the pursuit at 1:43 a.m., according to a Winchester Police incident report.
Baldwin then fled on foot, and as the Winchester officers searched the area, they heard something in the water nearby, the report said.
Officers reached the edge of Tims Ford Lake and saw Baldwin halfway across, the report said.
"I gave him orders to stop and swim back towards us, which he did," an officer said in the report.
Baldwin was about 10 feet from the lake's bank when "he stopped coming closer and just floated there for a second," the officer wrote.
Baldwin would "go under water and pop back up several times but would never proceed to the edge where we could get him." Then he "went under water one last time and never came back up," the officer wrote.
"He ends up drowning, which is an extremely sad situation," Lewis told ABC News. "We have released our body camera and we have caught absolute hell for it."
The body camera video shows Baldwin swimming and an officer calling him "dumb" for jumping in.
"Don't go in there with him, he's going to pull you in," one officer said, according to ABC Nashville affiliate WKRN.
"He's doing it on purpose," an officer said.
Two Winchester police officers were at the scene at the lake as well as two Decherd police officers, Lewis said. Decherd was the lead agency for the pursuit, Lewis said.
Decherd's police chief did not immediately respond to ABC News' request for comment.
The body camera video "sent straight anger through me, because I know what kind of person that he is," Baldwin's cousin, Destiny Baldwin, told ABC News. "They treated him very, very unfairly."
She says she thinks the officers at the scene of his death should be fired, lose their badges and face charges.
"It's a part of your job to protect and serve the community. It just seemed like in that case with JJ that wasn't it. It was more of, 'Do I know this person? Is he armed? He's faking it.' Stuff that a cop on duty shouldn't ask," she said.
Baldwin, who went by JJ, "was always there whenever you needed something," she said. "Very happy and outgoing person, and very loving person."
Chief Lewis defended the actions of his two officers at the scene and said they "made the right decision."
One of those officers could not swim, Lewis told ABC News, and the second officer was taking off his gear to get in, but the first Winchester officer stopped him.
"We are not trained in water rescue -- we do not possess the gear to do that," Lewis said. "You've got to have a flotation device tied off somewhere to the bank where they can rescue you if something happens."
The rescue squad and dive team were en route before Baldwin drowned, the incident report said.
Lewis also noted that it was the middle of the night and pitch-black on the shore of the lake, with the exception of their flashlights.
The lake is in a wooded, overgrown area, where it's unclear how deep the water is. Officers were also concerned whether Baldwin would engage in a struggle with police considering he had already fled, according to Lewis.
"That's the reason we didn't jump in," Lewis said. "If my officer got in there and got tied up with him [and got pulled under,] it's just a bad situation."

Shawn Michaels was allegedly involved in a heated backstage debate at NXT Takeover: In Your House with another producer. The argument, which happened before the event went on the air, was about the ongoing protests over the death of George Floyd, police brutality and racial inequality.

The producer claimed that everyone gets treated the same and Michaels disagreed and got upset over it. He gave an explanation about inequality and systemic racism in America. While he was angry, he remained professional. Most of the wrestlers didnt find out about the situation until Monday, so there may not have been many witnesses at the time. HBK and the producer worked together after the argument without incident.

A corrections officer who participated in a counterprotest to a Black Lives Matter demonstration in New Jersey in which people reenacted the death of George Floyd was suspended after the video was widely shared on social media.
In the video, protesters march along a street Monday in Franklin Township, Gloucester County, chanting George Floyd! and Black Lives Matter! The video shows they are being escorted by local police.
They pass a private property filled with firewood for sale. Video filmed by someone marching shows a man kneeling on the neck of another man shouting unintelligibly back at protesters. Protesters shout back.
Two more men are standing nearby and one of them is filming on a cellphone. The group is standing on the roadside in front of a pickup truck outfitted with an American flag and a Trump banner. Several others are nearby. An All Lives Matter sign is also hanging.
Another truck shows the thin blue line flag, meant to show support for law enforcement workers.
The video has garnered tens of thousands of views and shares on social media.
Floyd, a black man, was pinned to the pavement May 25 by a white Minneapolis police office who put his knee on Floyd's neck for several minutes, even after Floyd stopped responding. Protests have been held in cities and towns around the world calling for an end to police brutality and systemic racism.
The New Jersey Department of Corrections put out a statement Tuesday afternoon that said they were made aware that one of its officers participated in the filming of a hateful and disappointing video that mocked the killing of George Floyd.
The individual has been suspended from their post and banned from NJDOC facilities pending a thorough and expedited investigation, the statement said.
It's unknown which of the people in the video works for the Department.
Another person in the video is a FedEx employee, who has since been suspended, a company spokesman told The Courier Post.
A statement from Police Chief Brian Zimmer and Mayor John Bruno said they were appalled and saddened by the revolting actions of certain individuals.
Gov. Phil Murphy condemned the stunt Tuesday night on Twitter, saying the state won't let the actions of a few distract from our progress toward dismantling systemic racism.
Mocking George Floyds murder in effort to belittle the calls for justice from our Black and Brown communities is repugnant, Murphy tweeted.

It's incredible how many convictions are based on the testimony of jailhouse informants. As if people in jail just confess the details of their crimes to each other all the time. What's really amazing is juries are told that the jailhouse informant is not getting anything in exchange for their testimony, which is always wrong. It's just that the informant gets their reward (reduced charges or whatever) after they testify.

Check out Just Mercy, the new Jamie Foxx movie. That's how his character ends up getting charged for a murder he didn't commit. I believe WB is offering it free to everyone right now through Playstation, Xbox, Youtube, etc.

Rob Gronkowski has reportedly been granted his release by WWE this week after just two months under contract with the company.
It has proven to be a very short run with the company for the NFL star who worked as the WWE WrestleMania 36 host earlier this year. Gronk picked up the 24/7 Championship on the second night, but he lost that title this week on WWE Raw to R-Truth, which appears to be his last action for the company.
According to a report by Wrestling Inc., Gronkowski is leaving the company for now as he focuses on his return to the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The report claims that he decided to exercise a release clause that freed him of any future obligations with WWE, but there is a no-compete in that which stops him working for other wrestling companies for a period of time, so dont expect him popping up in AEW anytime soon.

We are sad to report the passing of former WWE referee Jack Lotz at the age of 86.
The news broke via his daughter on social media and she noted that he passed away on Saturday due to complications for coronavirus.
Lotz, under the New York State Athletic Commission, refereed matches during the early days of the WWF national expansion and if you watched the early WrestleMania events then you will notice him in several matches.
In addition to the first three WrestleMania events, he also refereed the famous match that saw Bob Backlund defeat Superstar Billy Graham in 1978 for the WWWF Championship. He was also the referee for Hulk Hogans match against The Iron Sheik in 1984 where Hogan won the WWF Championship and officially kicked off a long run that would lead to WWFs boom period.
