How would reporting inaccurate information, improve your life, in any way?

A good friend of mine, an RN, told me about how the hospital she works in is overcrowded and because of that, theyre now having to put 2 patients in a room instead of one. All patients are Covid patients. Theyre trying to keep people from the same bubble together.
So in one room there was a grandfather with his grandson. Grandpa coded and grandson got to hear the last moments of grandpas life surrounded by a small army of staff trying to get him back. They didnt.
I wonder how grandson feels about deathrate?
Since its all that matters and hes doing ok, hell just shake it off and be perfectly mentally healthy for the rest of his life...

I have several friends that are rns, each at different hospitals. Some of them dont know each other and theyre spread out across the country.
As of last week, theyre all telling me the same thing:
Were seeing the same patients that recovered from Covid, coming back in but with heart failure, kidney failure, liver failure, strokes, or blood clots.
Those are complications from Covid that wont be counted as Covid because they recovered from it.
Take from that what you will, but Im not relying on politicians or basement dwelling youtubers for my information. I prefer people on the front lines. Im fortunate enough to know several.
I couldnt care less about numbers.

Three people all with the same symptoms, in the same house, the dad goes to the hospital because he got so bad, the others told to stay home and not to go to the hospital unless they get sick enough to admit.
What else would they have had?
I don't make stuff up.
I only post things that i know about.

They arent counting all people that are infected.
I know a man that was admitted to the hospital and placed on a ventilator for 3 weeks. He survived but he got close.
In the meantime, his daughter and wife also contracted it.
It was assumed that they had it, but they were never tested because they didnt need to be admitted. They were sent home where they managed it and never had to be admitted.
They were never counted as having COVID19.

Me and my wife. I passed it to her.
I got it from a co worker. He went to the doc and the doc said I dont know what you have but its not the flu. This was all back in Jan, before it was believed to be here. Turns out it was CA since November.
All together I know about 10 people. All recovered but 1 has permanent heart damage.

I googled it.
I know this sounds stupid, especially with Covid going around, but I've been in dread of those things coming here. I work outside in the open space and wilderness.
They're attracted to human sweat.
Their stings, in big numbers, kill you because their venom degrades red blood cells leading to kidney failure.
I'm already counting on those things reaching southern CA, because if nothing else, some idiot's gonna bring one down as a pet or something and it'll get loose.

So the next time this happens, and it will, instead of trying to lock it down and stop it before it gets out, the same thing is going to happen-
Deny theres a problem, declare it a locational problem, close down a border while calling it someone elses problem, blaming the problem on someone else, while the reality is its a human problem.

This virus doesnt care where it came from, doesnt care about borders, race, social status, political leanings, religion, age, gender, financial worth...
Its a virus that looks for a host and invades.
The handling of this was a massive fail all around.

Im highly introverted. I simply do not require contact with others.
Been basically locked down for 3 weeks by restrictions and 3 weeks before those restrictions were put in place. I started staying in, on my own, because it seemed logical and it was an easy choice.
I still work a couple of days a week because I work with water. People still need to have water coming into and leaving their homes, so Im essential. I work alone.
I feel bad for people that do require socializing. Some of my friends are scratching their own eyes out because of social distancing.
I could do this forever.

There was too much to take in with this.
The suicide was brutal! I think thats gonna stay with me a while.
My other big take away is how so many people are that easy to lead. I mean you get some kind of shtick and people will slave for you for free if you give them shirt with a color rank on it, eat old meat and become a member of a cult/ harem. All that when its totally obvious that your leader is a mental patient. Its scary!

I'm not saying this to be an argumentative idiot, so common on GF's these days, but I just learned that there were a few Germans interned and quite a few Italians. I had no idea!! It was nowhere near what they did to Japanese Americans, though.
