| cavalierking 07/05/20 7:13:46 PM #5 | so like, taking a lot of the people on here for example, if somebody they get into an argument with has low karma, then they're just a troll or if they have a lot of karma, but their username isn't recognizable, then it's always, "... and who are you?" or if they are recognizable, they'll just resort to bringing up something irrelevant about the person (e.g. "okay, but aren't you the same guy who once said [blah blah blah]?") to discount said person - so basically, instead of making any kind of sincere and earnest attempt to ever actually counter a point, these types of people - who are hyper-concerned with who somebody is - will always deflect with something else and this attitude and argument tactic always comes off as hella bitch-like - surely there's a term for this (the attitude, not the tactic)? and it obviously applies to real life, too, and i'm sure we've all met and/or known one of these types --- live and let live |
