| lilJoe457 07/17/20 12:56:32 AM #1 | My Mac from 2010 finally died. I was using a Focusrite sapphire pro 24 as the audio interface. I record people on a budget here in New York for extra cash. So with the old MacBook pro I was using a FireWire for connection. I am not really a fan of Macs but all the music files are on logic pro so I bought a cheap 12 inch MacBook pro from 2017. It has one port wire. A USB c connector. So I bought all the adapters I'd need to hook up my interface and it doesn't work. It seems the software didn't update enough to work with these adapters. So if anybody would know I need to know a quality interface that will work with this USB c connector or at least work with adapters. I've been looking at the Scarlett 2nd gen 6i6 but I'm like completely afraid to buy any new shit without knowing for sure. And all these sites forums seem to be not helping. For some reason in early June they decided to make it 1 positive case means we assume everyone around you probably has it too and they count that as cases. That's why cases are all of a sudden exploding for no reason and the number of deaths aren't being reported. There was no reason to change the way they calculate it like this. It really feels like to me the government wants to just find ways to continue this shit. They love having more power. As Nietzsche said it's the will to power more than anything else. Just like things like the Patriot act. They never will give up the power. Look I got no problem wearing masks and taking precautions until this has died down to a Japan or Korea level. But our agencies simply aren't counting cases like they do in Europe or Japan or other countries. They're literally doing it different for no reason. Europe has had the same stay at home orders and mask wearing order and is city like too and filled with protesting people on both sides. Honestly I didn't really get the over the top praise for the first one. I thought the game was fine. The story was good. But there was nothing revolutionary to me. The gameplay felt like it was Uncharted like to me. There are 3rd person shooters that do a much better job. Idk it was fine. But it's definitely driven by the story. This one seems like it lacks a coherent narrative. Feels like they decided to take a big leap. I see the fan reviews and figure it's being review bombed to an extent. But I see the critic review and there's no way they can genuinely think it's one of the best rated games ever. And I'm the last one to ever use the nostalgia line. But I don't think it is. I just think when you're younger you probably had less things to play since you yourself weren't buying the games. So you had to replay games or be bored. I have no problem replaying most games if they're good. I find most resident evil games to be replayable. Games like assassin's Creed aren't that replayable for me. I suppose that's your point. But I say it's only limited to those super large games with massive side quests and too many collectibles. Sometimes you almost have to do a lot of that stuff to be at a proper level to beat the game without going into a stress induced coma. There's gotta be a balance. I think God of war and the ff7 remake has that. They don't have too many side quests. And some of them are related to the story. Like the dress stuff in 7. But the main game itself isn't too long to the point where it feels stressful playing again. In fairness I've played the original ff7 at least 30 times in my life lol. I'm really rambling here. I guess I half agree with TC. It'll fade like all the other protests due to police violence. Everyone celebrates when the cops get charged. They disappear. Then months later the cops never get convicted. They'll wait till everyone forgets. Because they always do. All the celebs and ball players that talk up needing change. They disappear too. I don't recall these NBA players wanting to stop play over the Mike brown stuff or the other cases in the last 4 years. Yeah they protested then they stopped. Everyone gets complacent and that's what the government is banking on. Fall back asleep. The cops will get off. Nobody will care. Now let's get back to the usual programming of shutting down our lives forever because of a virus that can't be vaccinated. That's another red herring. The vaccine. They'll keep saying it's close but it'll never get there. Mutates too quick. It's impossible. You'd need a vaccine every few months. Good luck with the logistics behind that. I say let the people out who wanna live. Let everyone who wants to take that risk take it. And if they get covid then if they go to a hospital no matter their insurance they're not covered. The people who wanna stay inside every month. Let them. Get approval from the government that you're too afraid until the disease is completely gone. Be given enough money to cover rent and buy groceries. And if you're found out to be making extra income illegally you gotta go to jail. This is absurd. I didn't nearly die 4 times in my life due to cystic fibrosis to finally essentially get cured back in November to only be a prisoner in my house again. I'm finally healthy enough to live a normal life and that isn't going to happen. Because I know governments. I have studied the bastards. They ain't gonna let up on these reigns any time soon.
