It's the fact so many jobs push the whole 40 hour work week and that there's groups of people who grovel to their employers/corporations. Studies have shown that on average an 8 hour work day is about 3-4 hours of actual productivity. Now that's not all jobs of course.

There's so many BS jobs that there's even a book about it by David Graeber. Now we have automation and remote work being magnified which will create even more freed up time. There has to be reforms to our work culture if that means UBI, 4 day work week, 30 full time, minimum wage increases, rent control, etc...

In terms of overall influence. I'm thinking dubstep, future bass, vaporwave, edm trap, chillwave, grime, PC music/hyperpop, kawaii bass, etc..

It seems zoomers will have bedroom pop and whatever crops up in next few years

The real issue is wages shouldn't be this low in the first place. Some states haven't raised minimum wage in over a decade.

The biggest thing I'm enjoying is being able to isolate if a certain food makes my stomach act up. In the last year or 2 I was getting anxiety going out to eat as well. I would eat and then 20 minutes later have to poop and it was often not nice. In the 3 months of this pandemic it has happened maybe twice, but I was able to isolate exactly what food triggered it. Whereas in the last year it was becoming a real problem almost once a week or even more.

I probably should go to a doctor, but honestly no eating out and being picky about my food choices has practically stopped it.

Plus, looking at bank statements and realizing how eating out slowly chips away any form of trying to save money.

Finally, just people in 2020. My trust in people in America at least is at an all time low.

I'm a full introvert for one. Over the course of the last year or 2 I have had stomach problems more often that have about disappeared in last 3 months. I'm saving a ton of money not going out to eat. I don't need a waiter/waitress to eat just to have to pay even more money. They at most bring food and come back 2 or so times to table for refills. Also, meal proportions at most dine in places in America are just massive.

I'll admit I like good tasting food and some local restaurants are amazing. I also like to try different cuisines. However, the tradeoff is much better.

As far as I'm concerned I can go all 2020 and longer eating at home. I honestly haven't been craving to go out.

Well this is more of a element that is missing.

Online games not having single player offline modes with lobbies of bots. Like there's no reason Fortnite can't have an offline mode where you play against 100 bots. They did add same screen co-op. Perfect Dark had bots 20 YEARS ago and they actuallt were customizable.

One of my favorite battle royales Darwin Project is closing later this year. I just wish I was able to continue offline after servers are shut down.

I haven't heard someone specifically say that, but I've known people who don't take it serious. I had a music college professor who was jazz director look down on me playing what he called "Mario sounding music"

I love VGM. There's a certain branch that stems from the 80s and 90s that I would actually consider a music genre on it's own called VGM. Then, you just have other genres used in old games and the the film like music of modern western AAA games. Today Nintendo really keeps pushing that VGM sound and plenty of indie composers.

The world going into a pandemic right out of the 2020s decade is going to historically be the turning point that shapes rest of the 2020s. Economic depression, national tensions rising, work from home becoming normal, retail super apocalypse, new consoles, new fashion trends due to masks and social distancing, etc..

I've had people close to me even say "remember 2019 and how it was" like it's some distant past now. Personally, a lot of amazing games came out in the 2010s. Some I'm already nostalgic for. But I can imagine Generation Z really about to hit some nostalgia as their foray into adulthood is looking quite doom and gloom right now.

If there's one big positive thing about this pandemic it's seeing so many people actually looking happier outside walking, talking, riding bikes, etc.. This is how it should be all the time.

I've kind of gotten used to not working for a month, chilling playing games, watching shows, taking long walks, no traffic, saving money, etc... I'm overall less stressed

Ok she tells me she wants to stay where she's at even though I offered her to come live with me during all this. She works in medical and has family living with her. I live alone and am literally staying away from everyone as mich as possible.

Plus, she got all dramatic and was saying I don't care for her because I'm being cautious during a PANDEMIC...

Like she is still working and I'm not. She lives in a different place than me. I've been home all week except getting groceries at pick up. We haven't seen each other for about 5 days now.

There is a literal stay at home order outside of essential needs in place in my area. So it's not like I can literally even see her without risking my health or the law.

This is about my breaking point with her.
