I'm reading the first book on Kindle and apparently it's the relaunch version. I distinctly remember human Jake being able to thought-speak to cat Tobias. But in the rerelease, Jake tries it and it doesn't work.

Oh I didnt know they changed anything in the rerelease. Yeah I remember in the original release that the author retconned their telepathy limitation after the first book.

My favorite books as a kid. They'd come out monthly and my mom would take me to Borders to buy the new one every month. I didn't have every one of the books, but I still have probably like 85% of the series in a box somewhere.

I reread the entire series again during college, and of course there are some hokey kids-demographic things but the themes and some of the plot lines deal with some really heavy stuff for the age group the books were for.

The Switch one is just a remaster of the first Katamari game. I don't think there's much of a difference between the two, though the remaster doesn't have the English voices for the few brief cutscenes, which isn't a huge deal, but I liked it in the PS2 version because it made the scenes so much more goofy and surreal.

The sequel has not been ported.

I hope the church route deals more directly with those who slither in the dark. Id have thought Edelgards path would have, with it being kind of a big plot point in her story. It seemed like it was just thrown in there randomly in the other path where you do actually face them.

Finished Crimson Flower, ended up with Linhardt. I appreciate that there are unambiguously gay options in this. Dorothea ended up with Petra in the epilogue too.

I liked Raphael, he was one of my heavy hitters, and I liked his good-natured gluttonous simpleton spirit even if it wasnt too plot significant.

Lysithea was my glass cannon but most importantly, the Death Knight slayer that Ive sorely missed in every other house.

Leonie was my surprise battle monster.

Ive always mostly ignored the Dancer class, is it really that vital? An extra move is definitely nice but as a FE noob I didnt think it was that big of a deal.

So Catherine and Cyril cant be recruited in Black Eagles? I always get them at the same time as Shamir who I do have now, but the Recruit option isnt there for them. I suppose it makes sense character wise though. I recruited Mercedes because of her connection to a certain character, and also plan to grab Lysithea later because I read shes the one person who can be recruited in part 2.
