I voted RE just because MGS1 is the only one I've played and the controls are kinda fucked, leaning out of cover is very jank and doesn't really work as intended. RE1 (remake version at least) still plays great, as do all the others, of course

Anyway, I haven't played much of RF4 but I think I probably liked Forte the best so far. Damn RF3 had a way better selection though, lol (though I will say RF5's bachelorettes seem deeper and multi-faceted as opposed to the asylum escapees in RF3)

Lol, the ending of that was the best part for me. Not because it was good, but because there's an area where you can get three+ enemies in an enclosed area fighting you at once and cause infighting due to the close quarters + the fact that two of them have wild, flailing attacks that hit everything within like 5 feet of them. Just get close enough to one to juke him into attacking and then back off, he invariably hits an ally and then that ally gets pissed and swings at him, often hitting the third guy, and so on. Funny as fuck, almost Three Stooges-esque. I had a save there that I'd reload over and over just lmaoing at them for like an hour straight. I think I got the three of them to kill each other once without me having to do anything

people talk about RE7 being good until the boat, but it's that way with the other games, too, where they might have these amazing levels, encounters, etc., but that last stretch is often a dip in quality.

that's how I feel, at least.

I always really like those parts, especially the RE3 remake. The environments are really neat looking imo, plus there are usually enemies that you don't see elsewhere

I don't really consider it a good game (kind of meh) but most people do: Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga. Holy fuck that fight never ends, it's positively mind-numbing. Not even hard, but you still have to pay attention to what you're doing because of how the battle system works. Fucking awful, game went from a "meh" for me to "borderline trash"
