I don't get it. Dude is one of the best professors I've had and one of the few who gets how you teach someone to succeed in mathematics. He's passionate about the topic, his lectures are engaging, and the homework load is not cumbersome. I struggle to understand why anyone dislikes him.

EVs are accumulated through battling, so your first Pokemon will likely hit their max pretty quickly in the game.

When you want to do competitive play, you can just buy a shitton of Vitamins (e.g. HP Ups, Protein, etc.) and use those to allocate EVs on a newly-bred Pokemon, so no need to worry in that respect.

Similarly, items exist to modify IVs (Bottle Caps), Nature (Mints), Abilities (HAs available from a Crown Tundra item), and their ability to Gigantamax if applicable (via the Isle of Armor DLC).

So you definitely don't need to worry about any of this silliness until you beat the game, don't worry.

Lol it's kind of impressive it only took 3000 hours. >_> Just the act of teaching and using HMs seems like it'd be a near-impossible hurdle for randomization.

Based on the video's description, it seems the streamer actually did some of the work himself, e.g. when the fish got too far away from a place or wiped out.

As a point of comparison apparently the eighth Gym was fought 170 hours in.

Being trans is pretty stressful and often feeds stuff like anxiety and depressive disorders, of course.

Yeah the game is definitely more centered around anxiety and such rather than trans issues - though the latter often comes with the former. I'm not sure if anyone thought Madeline might be trans until the DLC and they saw the ending though (and even then it's not at all clear cut).

I should give the main game a proper replay some day, and look deeper into the plot. Sadly I'm bad with analyzing stuff like this though.
