Pokemon OR/AS are the best Pokemon games on the system, including spinoffs (though not necessarily including regular DS games that the 3DS is backwards compatible with). They're Hoenn remakes, so how could they not be? Kid Icarus: Uprising is great but it'll suck to actually play if you're left handed (like me) Fantasy Life is a little known title but it's probably one of my favorite games of all time. --- The Bagel made me do it. After playing through more of KH1 than I ever have before (unlocked Hollow Bastion, whereas usually I make it halfway through Deep Jungle) and playing the first world of Re:Chain of Memories and then skipping the rest of the game because while I hate myself, I don't hate myself THAT much (more like Pain of Memeories, amirite) I finally moved on to my favorite game in the series, Kingdom Hearts 2. Or at least, I REMEMBER it being my favorite, mostly because it was easier than 1, if only because the platforming and combat isn't as janky. But I started playing through the game's 3 hour long prologue, and made it to Darkside-except-not-Darkside. You remember, the giant Twilight thingy? After a long and difficult fight, I... died? Yes. I died to the FIRST BOSS OF THE GAME. Playing on Standard. Keep in mind I have played on Critical up to... I think halfway through Beast's Castle? And in my playthrough of KH1, I haven't died once yet. So clearly I know what I'm doing. But this guy is a LOT harder than I remember. I'm like "what the actual fuck?" as I get punted back to the area before, forced to fight the Nobodies AGAIN. This time I get a little luckier with item drops and secure a few more Potions. I go to take on Twilight Boi again, and this is where things get weird. See, he takes about 3 times as many hits as I remember him being able to take (it's hard to tell without Scan), his attacks always seem to hit me even with using the Reversal command, and (this is the REALLY strange part, I cannot emphasize this enough), he used an attack I had never seen before. I can't even describe it because it was so weird, I was so stressed and it was also at like 1 in the morning so I was tired, but it caught me by surprise and I almost died again. Almost. I did win on my second attempt, but it was too close for my liking. Fast forward to the Struggle tournament, where I find a line of dialogue in a cutscene I do not remember at ALL, and Hayner almost kicks my ass and I am unable to auto win any of the fights by getting 200 orbs. Axel shows up with his whole "Got it memorized" schtick and I am livid at this point because of all the strange things going on. So naturally, I die to Axel because I forgot to auto reload my Potions because hahaha I don't know. Bought a second Potion, refought Vivi, and got to Axel again... and guess what? Once again, an attack I had never seen before. And my buddy who was watching me play over Discord, who has played all of these games as well, ALSO didn't recognize the attack! Axel coated himself in fire and proceeded to do this super move thing, though fortunately by this point I actually remembered I had Guard so I was able to block most of the hits thanks to timing. After squeaking out a win against him, I managed to kick Setzer's ass, saved the game, and called it quits because I was spooked. Is my game haunted or something? This is the same digital copy of 1.5+2,5 ReMIX that I played about a year to 2 years ago, on the same PS4, but played on a different Playstation Profile. I went back to my old profile's saves just to see if something was up there, but it's hard to tell because I'm level 63 on my old files so I can easily wreck things. tl;dr: Don't play Kingdom Hearts at 1 AM. --- The Bagel made me do it. Actually had to leave early because it hurt so damn bad, wound up going to the hospital. Just walking was super painful. They couldn't do much at the hospital because I was kind of a little baby about it (I really don't deal with pain well at all) but what was really weird is that I had to take a piss while I was there and after doing so, the pain just... magically went away. --- The Bagel made me do it.
