| Zikten 02/15/21 6:20:20 PM #1 | I learned this from a podcast aboit retro gaming and gaming history called Retronauts. Been listening to an episode each day when I go on a walk They did an episode about the Ninja Gaiden series and they said that in Japan, Ninja Gaiden 3 gives unlimited continues like 1 and 2. But when they did the English release, they limited the continues so its actually possible to get a true game over. This was done in response to the American game rental industry In Japan video game renting is illegal. You have to buy everything or just not play it. Tecmo didn't want people renting Ninja Gaiden 3 and beating it in a week and then being done with it. So they made it harder so people would feel forced to buy it and play it over and over til they win. Sounds like many people were just turned off by this change though and never bought it |

Tickets had sold out months in advance though I remeber being annoyed that local TV played the events on delay to keep it in time with east coast prime time. People thousands of miles away got to watch it live. I was in the same time zone as the Games and I had to wait. Stupid east coast tv priority . Always have hated it |

Cops did a really lousy investigation and decided her son did it based on false leads like a teacher mistakenly saying he had missed their class the day of the murder. The teacher later corrected and said he had been in class but the cops ignored the correction Anyway the cops tricked him into a false confession and he spent decades in prison on top of having lost his mother |
