We've all lost at this point. |

I had to go to three doctors to be diagnosed with something relatively common that is often comorbid with an existing condition. It took me months to get a diagnosis, and all the while I could have dropped dead from at any time. The bills were astronomical and the care completely questionable. |

It's just that a random smattering of Youtube content and an endless stream of phone games (complete with whinny reviews from underage users about how at some point they need to pay money) hold short attention spans better. |

I'm old enough that I missed out on everybody having a cellphone in school, but I've been led to believe that sexting is something lots of teenagers do with each other as a part of growing up. Child exploitation laws are some of the harshest we have, and they absolutely should not apply when all parties involved are minors. And probably not in other situations too, like if you are 18 and you have a 17 year old girlfriend or something. Of course, if this guy was like 19 and knew the other person 13, that changes things. Especially since there are two alleged victims. |

All character routes and interactions are subservient to the glider plot. At least, that's how I felt about it. I wasn't thrilled either with the loli character route. It seemed like the business people demanded the game have at least one or two lolis because the route seemed random and they never really appeared as characters prior to their route. Honestly, I can't say I liked many of the characters in the game. |

At one point, the Kryptonians traveled the stars, discovered how to make other planets like their own, and generally had grand ambitions. They went from that to living in one single solar system. When faced with an energy crisis, the government--which should in theory be made up of genetically superior people good at governance--chose to take an unsustainable action that would destroy the entire planet and kill them all instead of doing literally anything else. Zod sees that Earth's environment would give his future armies and people a massive advantage over everyone else in the universe, and the decides Earth still needs to be made into a second Krypton because that's how things were before. The ship that Superman recovers from under the ice was absolutely ancient, yet the technology looked about the same as what they had on Krypton when he was sent away. I'm not familiar with the comics, but I got the impression that nobody had invented much of anything since the expansionist era. It reminds me a lot of the Tommyknockers. They are capable of building and doing miraculous things, but there is no will for it and they are all collectively too stupid to have original ideas. |

Nobody wants to hang out or have gatherings, nobody calls, or writes or emails. The most you'll get is a short text without much substance. And, subjectively, device distraction seems to be a bigger problem when you are in the same room trying to communicate with someone than movies, books, or television. |

You name, it's happened or going to happen. The only people I know who are happy right now are the ones who haven't had their jobs effected and think all the bad news this year is fake propaganda. Even if you are in a good place financially and don't think any of this will impact you, your subconcious might have other ideas. The world isn't in a good place, and there isn't much reason to think it's going to get better in the next year or two. In every area of life, there is huge uncertainty. It is natural to want to revert to a time when the world was more stable for you and life was simpler and happier. |

This needs to be thrown out of court. We don't want to set this kind of precedent. Officers are already covering up their badge numbers in an effort to hide their identities because they don't feel safe while harrassing and brutalizing protestors. Meanwhile, police and three letter agencies are doing all they can to identify and track protestors, including the completely nonviolent ones. There is nothing special about being a cop that means this person and their family gets to feel extra "safe", especially at the expense of civil liberties. Does anyone know if the ACLU is going to take this on? |

I told a friend about it the other day, and I told him it was the best, weirdest show he had never heard of. The only truly bad episode was the last one, but that might be fixed in the second season. |

If you want to try your hand at making games, Unity and Unreal are both free, with the option to buy assets if you start working on something you like and need some stock art, music, or code. If the kind of story you want to tell would work in the visual novel format, learn Python and check out RenPy. If you want to stick with 2D, I'd actually check out the Godot engine, which is also free and extremely easy to learn for 2D games. If he had sexual contact with this girl in 2014, and he admitted it to the parents when confronted around the same time, why is he getting arrested now? American Ninja Warrior contestants aren't wealthy or politically connected, so they could easily have reported him and been confident he would be arrested. The only way I can see not reporting him is if the girl either wasn't under age at the time, or she was close enough to legal and the conduct minor enough that the parents felt it could be an honest mistake and could overlook it. If Drechsel had continued approaching their daughter, obviously they would have reported him and he would have been arrested much sooner. And even if she were as young as 12 in 2014 (in which case they definitely would have reported him right away), she'd be 18 now and I have trouble imagining what could have happened between them recently to get him arrested in 2020? Maybe it is just me, but I totally don't get what happened here. |

Lack of family support can really trap a disabled person and make it hard if not impossible for them to live on their own depending on the circumstances. |
