The F.T.C. said in an announcement that Amazon had promised its Flex delivery drivers that they would receive 100 percent of all customers tips. But starting in 2016, the F.T.C. said, Amazon secretly lowered the hourly delivery wages, which were advertised at $18 to $25, and tried to mask the smaller wages by using customer tips to cover for the smaller hourly pay. The net effect was that the contract workers received smaller overall take-home pay, the agency said. The practice wasnt disclosed to drivers but the Flex drivers noticed the compensation reductions and began to complain. Amazon stopped the practice in 2019, after it became aware of the F.T.C.s investigation, the agency said. The company settled without admitting wrongdoing. dip? --- |

Don't really think much of it, as we ordered a metric fuck-ton of food. Gives our stuff and leaves. Comes back 3 minutes later, after we had started opening everything. Turns out she gave us another person's food. Which, of course, happened to be the first thing I got to. So I explained that I unfortunately already had my hands on it, sorry about the misunderstanding etc.. And she just deadass looks me in the eyes, asks me to wrap it back up and give it to her. --- |

YOu should focus on ETFs and blue chippers and build balances up over time. But to do that, you need to put money in consistently, which will eat up your available spendable money. I hear what you're saying... I just feel stuck. I've been at the same job for 7 years, they don't have a retirement plan unfortunately. I used to get consistent OT before covid, but I just barely stay afloat working only 40 hours.($15/hr) I can't even afford to go back to school. Between my tax return, birthday money, stimulus, etc, I should have at least $2500 coming in. First things first, pay off my credit card. That'll at least loosen up the monthly struggle. I only planned on putting a couple hundred on some sub penny stocks, not throwing the entire amount at it. If one of those ends up taking off even a little bit, I could improve my situation drastically. I'll look into the options you mentioned, but idk if I can wait years to see gains. --- |
