My opinion on DBS has shifted more towards the negative tbh, though I'll say Super does shine on some really fun character interactions (I actually really like the Trunks-Gohan episode....in a vacuum, since some stuff from later in the arc makes it worse). I actually like the TOP's recruitment arc more nowadays, maybe even more than the tournament itself (Jiren is probably the most boring DB main antagonist)

The problem with the Black/White arc is that they had clear plans and ambitions for it. But then the earthquake/tsunami of 2011 happened, which derailed the upcoming (like, literally that week) Team Rocket vs. Team Plasma special that was likely going to be a key event for the whole arc. After that, it never recovered.

Pikachu vs Snivy and Ash forgetting to damage Pidove before throwing a pokeball happened before that tho

Johto Journeys through the end of the Silver Cup was excellent

Apparently Sun and Moon is amazing, though I can't stomach the art style (seriously, ash staying 10 was bad enough without redrawing him to look like he's 6. And a half baked, soggy Ghibli kid).

As much as I like the Johto league, the Johto arc overall had way, way too much filler in the middle. DP also has a lot of filler (and the largest gym gap in the series), but since it has like 3 major plotlines it's not as bad

The worst thing about XYZ summoning is that it is literally pronounced "ex-seez summoning".

Links, I like that positioning finally matters in Yugioh, but them having gimped all other extra deck summoning conditions for it was stupid (though I think that part got rolled back).

I guess that's because it's Xyz, not XYZ. Still was pretty confusing at first tho lol

Not really related to Korra x Asami in particular but more an overall criticism of the show I always had was how *all* of the romance stuff brought the show down. It was always handled really poorly and the show would have been better without any of it.

book 1 was especially bad with it. Love triangles barely ever go well

2. Princess Bubblegum is low-key villainous. She has little regard for life since she CREATES life and uses Finn despite her being very aware of his feelings for her. At best she is just VERY concentrated on her scientific endeavors and at worst is a really an awful person.

Just wait until you get to The Cooler, that's arguably her at her most actively villainous. Either way, like I said before this season has some pretty good moments, but also a lot of fails, especially near the end. Next season is a big improvement (and let's just say that if you like Marceline there's something coming up for ya next season)

in the Japanese version, Goku is like 14 in the start of DB. And Bulma is only like 16. The English dub made Goku seem much younger than he is supposed to be

900+ episodes in one piece. It's what keeps putting me off from even starting the first episode.

I normally prefer my stories told within 50-60 episodes. Two seasons of 50 episodes are also okay provided they don't drag.

The only anime that I will ask for more episodes is Hajime no Ippo.

Check One Pace for that, it removes a lot of the fluff. Though from what I've heard it's better to just read the manga post-skip

I used to think that, but then Wild Force existed. And then Operation Overdrive.... and then Samurai.... and then the disaster that was Megaforce. Tbh the series really has fallen since RPM. I actually enjoyed most of the series that Disney made. Saban taking over just made everything feel cheap. It's like they half ass everything. Megaforce was just hot garbage. I can't believe they combined 2 separate series into 1, instead of making Super Megaforce into the rumored title "Armada".

At least BM was good for the most part, especially the second season's second half
