it's been 6 days now. he's reversing many things from Trump's era (transgender military ban)

-putting science and being honest about it at the forefront
-trying to get 100 million covid vaccines/ doses in 100 day
-getting a 1400 stimulus check to americans
-has a really diverse cabinet with qualified people
-attempting to end private prison
-supports raising minimum federal wage to $15

only two questionable things I can think of

-froze Trump's attempt at lowering drug costs, but think this lacks context and I'm sure he is looking at the big picture
-fracking and keystone pipeline? does he support it?

.I'll be honest.. I have trust issues with establishment politicians and thought he was hardcore pandering with a diverse cabinet (which I welcome, bit questioned ulterior motives) for some reason. but these people are very qualified and he really seems more genuine on making it an inclusive country to live in for. only time will tell, especially with healthcare..

No secret dude. I think it will vary heavily where you live and what stage of distribution. Like in the U.S., some states have more supply than others. In my state I believe its stage 1B, in which people 75 years and older can get it, as well as non front line healthcare workers. I don't know if this includes people with preexisting conditions+65 years of age, because Strangely enough my in law parents who are 65 and older got the first shot just recently.

AT least for the public, it can be as simple as checking your healthcare provider app. I checked my dad's a few daysa go and a new button was added that said "covid 19 vaccine." I clicked on it and just scheduled him a vaccine for yesterday and chose a time slot. It was that simple.

I need to look more into people with preexisting conditions though, as my mom definitely needs it.
My uncle is a doctor in Canada, and from what I've heard, he hasn't even received the vaccine yet

edit: oh you know what.. its actually 65 and up can get it in my state. Phase 1C is next, which is 50-64 years of age and people with preexisting conditions that are vulnerable to covid. All tiers have certain job sectors that can apply as well

Yeah, I got the Moderna injection last week, after about 7 hours it started to feel sore and was worse the next day. 2 days later it was pretty diminished and now 3 days I barely feel it

it takes 1-2 weeks after the first shot until you get some protection from the virus. I also have to wait 4 weeks for the booster

I get my first shot of Moderna this Thursday. From what I heard, it feels like you did a killer shoulder workout afterwards.

i've never had a vaccination that didn't ache afterwards, they're jabbing a needle into the muscle it's gonna hurt. though i can say that a bad technician can give a harder injection that'll hurt more...

with the covid vaccine, the one that's gonna make you feel sick is the second one. basically the first shot is a primer, letting your immune system see the viral antigens and mount a defense. the second shot sets off that defense and by doing so boosts it and initiates a longer lasting immune response, but because of that you're going to deal with a day or two of activated immune system symptoms. fatigue, body aches, chills, mild fever, stuff like that.

yeah I have heard about the second shot people have more symptoms. they make you wait for 15 min after in case you have any allergic reactions too.

It could have just sent feel into my muscle. it's weird because I didn't feel the soreness right away at all. took me like 4 hrs personally

I don't interact directly with customers/patients, but my business is considered essential. I do lab work and we have a clinic with nurses. one of the nurses basically arranged us to get shots with our county. I was able to just pick an available slot online and have it confirmed. really easy, and it's not through my hospital

I'm using my insurance though , which I think is free.

that being said my dad was eligible for the vaccine due to his age and I was able to schedule his online through his hospital via online app directly

no fever symptoms, but holy crap since like 2 hrs ago the injection point on my arms started feeling really sore. I can't hold it horizontally flat or move it up too much without pain. it's like it it really hit a muscle. but apparently 9/10 people experience soreness in their arm.
