You have a fundamental misunderstanding of what en passant does.

If you have a pawn in the fifth rank, and your opponent advances one of their pawns two spaces instead of one to be adjacent to your pawn instead, then you can take it diagonally, as though it had moved only once space.

In the first picture, your pawn is in its 4th rank. It cannot perform en passant from there.

En passant only works to capture a pawn that advances two instead of one. The placement of any other pawns is completely irrelevant. You have a fundamental misunderstanding of the maneuver.

I wouldnt:

* Perform in drag for their theatre group's production of Hamlet (I don't pull it off well and that play invites bad luck)
* Convince my dad to give them his kidney (it's a dangerous procedure and I want my dad to live as long as possible)
* Try to get his wife pregnant when they're having fertility issues (last time this happened it ended badly for everyone)
* Smuggle drugs over the border (too much risk even if we're ignoring ethical implications)

1 and 2 do have a certain charm though. If you have a means to play them and speed them up, they're better

People have already mentioned the reasons, but he's a more concise summary.

Unlike most anime and manga, one is not adapted from the other. Toei animation and Toyotaro are both given some character designs and an outline of the major plot points from Toriyama, then they independently fill it out. For this reason, they're actually quite different from each other.

The anime moved more quickly, so the comparable material actually came out in the anime first. When the the Tournament of Power was finished, they decided to take a break and make a movie instead. That's why it concluded, and it's also why the Broly movie was so well animated. They had the whole team working on it and had a good budget.

The manga finished the ToP arc after the movie was out. Toriyama decided on a new new arc, but this time Toyotaro has more creative freedom. They were working together, so Toriyama can guide him better and hand over the reigns a little more. They've finally finished the arc after Broly, and the next one has started.

The super anime has been heavily teased to return at some point. For whatever reason, Toei hasn't dived into the project yet. Perhaps they're waiting for more material to adapt. It's easier to adapt material than to create it.

A lot of idiots always say stuff like "$15 is fine for big cities, but not for rural towns" when the $15 is actually calculated for small rural towns. In NY and San Francisco it needs to be a lot higher than $15

There are plenty of "real reasons" like that. Those are indefensible though.

There is one completely legitimate concern about DC Statehood though. Not that it comes anywhere close to outweighing the benefits (like 3/4 a million people no longer having their votes ignored and overwritten), but it is there. The reason I'm being coy about it is because I don't want to give ideas to the bad faith republicans on this board
