Some states are half way there, but around 20 of them still have 7.25 as the fed min (most of them red states of course). We know large business can handle it, but what about mid to small businesses? Specially in small towns. Isnt the jump a little abrupt in those places? After all the last wage increase was just $1.40 and it was over a 3 year period. This one would see a $2.25 jump effective immediately with a similar $2 increase every year until 2025. Of course that's great and waayyy overdue, but what happens with businesses that can't afford it? Specially brick and mortar stores that already operate with small margins?
