i don't see how "you want more pardons, not less" works as a blanket statement, though. seems to me like you should examine on a case-by-case basis whether or not a pardon is justified.

and i'm pretty sure the stone pardon wasn't an example of "the law was bad."

It doesn't work as a blanket statement at all, it's just a dumb thing Wang said lol. I agree with you that it's something you have to look at case-by-case (and in Stone's case, yeah, obviously the pardon should not have happened).

I think the bigger issue is when criminal presidents pardon other criminals who did crimes for them.

Kind of both? You should save it for a good weapon, but you can get some good weapons pretty early.

Someone else might be able to give better advice on this, I've only played through the game once.

Killing is a hard sales pitch and Nazis depends on what's meant because that's gotten broad.

Nobody really said this. We're just debating how much of an asshole move it actually is.

In my case, I don't think it's as much of one as other people seem to think since

A. Nintendo was partnering with them to promote the event in the first place, so their name was directly attached.
B. Nintendo reached out to them and asked them not to use Slippi for it and they refused.

The fact the rest of the event could have continued on and it was only the Melee/Slippi portion Nintendo didn't want, and the fact Nintendo was even working with them to support it, makes me less sympathetic.

People are free to disagree, and that's cool.

If A is true it's even more fuckin absurd that they shut it down

And B is already an asshole move (on Nintendo's part obv) in and of itself
