I just started playing....how do you gain the stuff you need to make wishes without paying real money for them?

do daily commisions in the adventure guide once you unlock it
some side missions reward primogems, as well as the final part of archon missions and story missions.
open chests around the map for a few primogems. rarer chests reward more gems
do the spiral abyss. floors 1-8 can reward gems only once. but floors 9-12 reset every two weeks
participate in events. there seems to be one every 4-6 weeks. unfortunately the most recent one just ended.

the devs also give out free gems whenever they fix a bug, or the servers go down for maintenance.

you can also buy something called blessing of the welkin moon. it's only a fiver, and gives you 90 gems every day for 30 days, and 300 for buying it, totalling 3,000 gems a month.

i hate my internet sometimes. my options for downloading this update are like this,

use 5g wifi - faster. "fails" to download every 5-10 secs and has to be restarted
use 2g wifi - slower. doesn't disconnect.
