The basically concentrated on graphical fidelity in small spaces and optimizing what they can do in space. As the world gets larger the quality drops. It's not truly open world that way and the ps4 couldn't handle it.

They also optimized load times by just optimizing their code because there was a call to do that for next gen. It could have been done earlier but they probably got paid for it. The game is just more dynamic that way.

Sucker Punch has also always been good at special effects in smaller areas. Just look at Second Son. They basically took that and expanded it over a larger area how your ghost senses work and everything. So it gives that effect over the world as you move through it. It's basically just a special effect running over the environment.

Red Dead's world is actually still much more detailed on a larger scale. It's not doing all the little things in space like GOT is doing though.

Everything is, of course, open to interpretation but several people interpreted it the same way and this was, of course, before any supposed deleted post that had crucial (now missing) context (which I can assure you isn't the case).

It's been canon from the start that you need to be pure of heart to go Super Saiyan.

Explain Vegeta. He was very, very far from a good or kind person. In his own words in the manga, he was able to transform because he was pure. "Pure evil." That pure of heart business was nothing more than speculation from the characters in-universe and was quickly disproved by the third person we see unlock that transformation in the series.

The S-cells is the part that I took issue with, by the way, and the S-cell explanation does cover how someone like Vegeta could still do it. A saiyan needs a very large amount of S-cells, and kind and good Saiyans generally have more... however, the number you have also increases with your battle power, so it makes sense someone like Vegeta could eventually have enough to transform.

I should also be clear that while I think S-cells are lame and hate the idea of them, I also didn't like that Trunks or Goten were able to go Super Saiyan. In fact, if Toriyama had had his way, Goku would be the only one able to do it and I would have liked it much, much more that way. Then it would make sense to keep him dead or sideline him so other characters can step up, and you wouldn't tarnish the legend of the Super Saiyan by needing to create more and more significantly stronger villains to continue to humble the Saiyans time and again.

Dragonball has become very, very fucking stupid as of Super but it's not like it was perfect before. It was just better than it is now.

Sayians achieve super sayian through S-cells and a sayian's S-cells count is determined by how kind a sayian is. That's why Gohan, Goten, and Trunks were able to go Super Sayian at such a young age, they're part human and humans are inherently kinder than sayians. If we go by that logic Pan should have the easiest time going super sayian. Meanwhile Bra should have it just as easy as Trunks and Goten had it.

I hate that this is real, canon shit that I have to read and acknowledge. Fuck what Dragonball has become. Fuck it right to hell.
