Sometimes it be like that. I've got a lot of family on farms near the Platte or the waterways connected to it that were caught in that. Actually spent a lot of time volunteering in Fremont helping folks salvage their things since my truck was fairly capable with the water.

Would still rather deal with these storms than hurricanes or earthquakes though. Typically more localized.

Two neighborhoods about a mile away from the house we lived in last year were completely destroyed. It was crazy driving through town and seeing it was all fine up to a point where it was all fucked up.

It also causes a shitload of frogs to appear. My friend lives closer to where the floods were and walked outside to go to work one morning and his driveway had hundreds of them. He had no choice but to run over a bunch while leaving.
