I find out they use Plaid so that's a no go. Did you try my suggestion of adding your bank account without using plaid on coinbase? It will take a few days (uses trial deposits) but at least you will be able to buy something without selling you info to plaid. I got all the way up to setting up a payment method before I realized I just couldn't do anything. True. I have used both exchanges but used neither to purchase since I purchased via coinbase. I just quickly checked and on coinbase you could get around the plaid thing by: 1. Pay with debit card for like 4% fee 2. You can manually link your bank with only the routing and account number (without using plaid). To do this select add bank account, say yes to "use plaid" but when plaid asks you to select the bank then close that window. It will trigger a message saying plaid failed and give you the option to add the bank manually without sharing your information. In both of them you can buy fiat and doge. Edit: you can always verify your bank account through trial deposits (manually inputting routing + account number) but that takes 2-3 business days. The warning they gave was that if you buy on instant and sell before the purchase is fully closed three times in 12 months then they will put a limit on your account for 90 days to prevent you from doing it. I don't know if there's any other serious repercussions but I don't wanna risk anything there lol. That being said they say it takes 1-2 days for the bank transfer to clear which is faster than anything I've seen on Robinhood. Thanks, how did you put in $200? It is not user friendly because unless you know what you are doing tax wise, you will need to read a lot of the tax form filling documents to know if you should fill out a cell or not.
