I agree. That's why whenever cops try to arrest an arsonist I'm like "is that really a good idea?" Should we really be looking to cause divisions between arsonists and non-arsonists by holding an arsonist accountable for all the fires he started? Isn't it better to move on and hope the arsonist simply has learned his lesson?

Going Into Court Soon Summary Thoughts
Ok so I'm like almost positive it was Peko. Mostly because some of the evidence they chose to include. There were multiple times this case where Hajime was like "this probably isn't important, I can't see how it would tie in" and then TRUTH BULLET. Ok so we know the water bottles are important and ok so we know that little window is important. These are the kind of things they only throw in if they matter to the case in some way, and the only way I could see either of them mattering is if Peko was the one who did it. Her being wet is going to be the crucial clue, I think.

If it is Peko, I'm relieved, honestly. She's at near the bottom of my rankings, just above Fuyuhiko and that's it. She's just kinda boring and hasn't really struck me as memorable in any real way so I'd miss her presence the least.

What I don't have a firm grasp of is "why" Peko would do this. Or what Hiyoko was doing there. Or why the hell wouldn't we invite Gundham to hang out with us. HE JUST WANTED TO BE INCLUDED.

I said it before, but this whole Sparkling Justice aside was super weird. It better not be that Peko is Sparkling Justice or that will be the dumbest plot twist of the series so far. I don't even know why it was included or how it is going to factor in.

13. Peko Supraks STONE COLD LOCK to be the killer. Probably. I dunnothere is something not right about her. She was weirdly quiet during the investigation, we had her show up completely wet and claiming she was just out for an innocent swim, Akanes scene makes it clear that window is important and Peko looks the most like a secret ninja, and other stuff too but lists are always best in three so Ill stop there. She doesnt appear to be connected to the incident in any waybut likeI'm like 99% sure it's her.

12. Fuyuhiko I feel like this is who the game wants me to think it is, so clearly it cant be him, right? Hes probably guy F in the game seeking revenge for his sister by killing girl E. It would make since for it to be him then, especially since he was wandering around the beach at the time, but likeits too obvious. Is it? It is. .is it?

11. Sonia She is pushing that stupid serial killer thing way too hard. LikeOH JEEZ GUYS MAYBE IT WAS A SERIAL KILLER THAT ONLY I EVER HEARD OF RIGHT NOT SOMEONE ON THE ISLAND RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT? Nah, man. Youre trying to trick me. The game wouldnt be so dumb to rehash the whole secret serial killer thing again. If there were two damn separate serial killer enrolled in Hopes Peak, then whoever the dean is needs to be fired out of a cannon into the sun because he is trying to get kids killed. Still, shes my outside chance of a killer if the game did something clever and tricked me somehow.

10. Nekomaru Im having a hard time remembering if he was even around for the investigation portion. Usually hes all walking around shouting stuff like I HAVE TO TAKE A SHIT NGGGGGGGGH but he was surprisingly quiet this time. Mustve finally got some fiber in his diet. He clearly isnt the killer this time around because he couldnt have escaped through the window since hes the size of a small tractor. Im thinking his time is just about up though. Big strong guy is too big and strong to not be the victim at some point. Watch your back next time youre taking a dump, man.

9. Hiyoko I am officially 100% positive that Hiyoko isnt the killer. The game basically pointed an arrow directly to her face. There were gummies in the closet OOOOOOO. The footprints matched her feet OOOOOO. She wrote a secret note about meeting Mahiru OOOOOOOOO. Its too much. The game is trying to frame her and I WONT HAVE IT. In games like this, it is never the most obvious suspect. Its also never the least obvious suspect, because anyone with half a brain would suspect them first. Which is why I know the killer this time isPhyllis. With Mahiru dead now, I think Hiyoko might snap. Best friends dying usually doesnt do good things for the mental well being of people that enjoy crushing ants for fun.

8. Gundham Ugh I just felt bad for Gundham this chapter. Ill admit though I did start to smile when he spent the entire case so far following us around and moping he wasnt invited to the pool party in his weird Gundham speak. I mean, yeah, Gundham, no offense because you're cool and all but obviously we arent inviting the weirdo that carries his hamsters around everywhere to a pool party. Anyone watch Its Always Sunny? Gundham at a pool party is like the McPoyles at the bar when Dennis and Mac are trying to get girls to take their tops off.

7. Ibuki Involved in the case, but like not really. Shes just here for the party, man. I initially had Ibuki in the survivor category this time, but I realized I only had ladies besides Hajime and I cant imagine that being the case so I randomly threw here in as one of the final victims because: 1) she isnt the helpful tutorial character, 2) she isnt the fanservice/forensic character, 3) she isnt the athlete with clown breasts. Shes just a fun sort of weirdo, and fun sort of weirdos quite frequently end up with a knife in their back sometime before we get to the real meat of the story. Sorry, Ibuki. KEEP ON ROCKING OUT WHILE YOURE HERE.

6. Nagito Still a jerk. Wandering around like a loon. Hes a really fun villain, dont get me wrong. I like the chaos he adds to the game, and when Monomi untied him I was like OH SNAP NOW THINGS GOT SERIOUS. But hes obviously not making it to the end. You dont let the villain get out alive. You have him go out in a blaze of glory at the very end. Duh.

5. Kazuichi He just wanted to see some T and A. Poor guy never wanted this. HE NEVER WANTED THIS. Have you ever wanted to see a woman naked so bad someone else randomly died? This is what happens when you try and spy on girls in bikinis, folks. It drives people to murder. I feel like me and Kazuichi are bros now due to our Porkys style shenanagins, so were going to cruise to the end looking for chicks together.

4. Akane I mean she did show up to the diner covered in blood so she should probably be a suspect too, right? Like Hiyoko though, I just cant see her having done it. She wasnt tied in to the weird video game thing, shes kind of a dummy, she helped me investigate the bathroom to lead to that secret window thing. Shes probably cool. I cant imagine her being savvy enough to pull off a murder at any point, honestly. Shed start and then be like OH MAN HAMBURGERS and just snack for a while.

3. Chiaki Clearly going to be my investigative partner now this game. Youve killed Byakuya. Youve killed Mahiru. Shes literally the only smart character left. PLEASE DONT TAKE HER FROM ME. Although if the pattern keeps up shell be next and by the end of the game the only people left in the final case will be buying instant lottery tickets and watching old episodes of the Kardashians while I do all the investigating.

2. Hajime Hajime is a pretty solid lead so far. Better thanMakoto? I remember every single characters name from the first game besides the lead and Im too lazy to go look it up even though I feel like I already did like a week ago because I realized I forgot. I feel like Hajime is actually doing things and thinking and not just waiting for some purple haired detective lady to tell him what hes doing wrong along the way.

1. Mikan Mikan deserves some sort of medal because she made it through an entire case without once accidentally texting everyone a picture of her butthole. She also gave me a couple of important clues and continues to be not useless. Of course, considering how this game likes to treat not useless characters and how my Suprak power rankings have gone so far, this probably means shell be dead by the next case.

• Oh, these girls are all girls that are here, arent they? My clue was that Girl B calls Girl A a farty poopy ugly trashy slop monster, which is either Hiyoko or someone so good at impersonations that they could put on a kimono and no one would know it wasnt Hiyoko.
• Dont you know? A pervert has been spotted in the area recently. Yeah, his name is Teruteru and he somehow is allowed to attend the school in spite of the numerous sexual harassment complaints that follow him around. Hes clearly the one who is behind the mysterious swimsuit disappearances, duh.
• The totally not the girls from this game crew hear a noise, and go upstairs and find a dead body. Their high school experience had waaaaaaaay more corpses than mine.
• Not-Hiyoko thinks the broken window is evidence the killer jumped out of it. But why wouldnt they just open the window someone smarter asks. Because they were in a hurry someone dumber responds. I know when Im in a hurry, I dont take the two seconds it takes to open a door when I can just lumber through it instead. This is how people get banned from Pizza Hut, not-Hiyoko.
• Pretty sure Girl E did this, whoever that is. She was right outside the room and likely just ran the key to the teachers lounge before everyone else got here. Either that or, sure, the magical flying pervert did it.
• Not-Mikan wants to report it to the police, but Girl E say that nah, thats a bad idea, because then the police will want to arrest them. Yeah, Girl E is the murderer. No we cant call the cops, thats just what the killer wants us to do. What we should do instead is destroy all the evidence and never speak of this again, right guys?
• Okay, so Girl D took a picture that incriminates Girl E, shows it to Girl E, and then tells Girl E not to worry because she wouldnt tell anyone else. Apparently Girl Dead was tormenting Girl D, and Girl E choked her out to stop it. Oh, and Girl D is Mahiru because Girl Dead was in the same photography club as her. Jeez game, way to just go ahead and spoil everything for me.
• Guy F shows up and is all like THAT BITCH I WILL KILL THAT BITCH a.k.a. Fuyuhiko. You could tell the character model was secretly a short dude with an anger problem. Alright, so his sister gets killed, Mahiru helps cover it up, and when Fuyuhiko figures this all out her murders her with a baseball bat? Is that too obvious?
• The ending credits show all the names of the characters involved. I recognize Hiyoko and the Kuzuwhatcha clan that Fuyuhiko is a part of, but the others are probably last names that I havent bothered memorizing. Im going to assume Im right and the girls are Mikan, Hiyoko, Mahiru, and ??? maybe Ibuki but Im not 100% on the last one.
• Also, when Girl E was trying to dispose of the photo that incriminated her, she didnt destroy it or eat it or launch it into the sun. She put it down on the ground and ran away. Great job, moron. This is why Fuyuhiko ganked you.
• Nagito got all the girls from the case here so I can talk to them. I DONT TRUST YOU NAGITO. Why would he help me? Also I cant imagine this will be helpful. Remember how you dont remember anything? Umdo you remember this one specific thing from the time you dont remember? No. K. No further questions.
• Ibuki invited Mahiru to come to the beach, she says, but Mahiru was busy (also she had just gotten naked like two scenes before and wasnt due again for another couple of hours). Mahiru invited Ibuki out instead, but Ibuki already had fun beach plans that didnt involve getting murdered to death by a baseball bat.
• Mahiru invited Mikan out too, who also declined because she had plans. UhMahiru? Maybe just go to the beach party that literally everyone you wanted to talk to was already going to be at.
• Hiyoko is like NO SHE NEVER TALKED TO ME SUSPICIOUS IM NOT SUSPICIOUS and jumps out a second story window to avoid talking to me. Nagito says something weird then leaves.
• Uh oh. We find the pictures that were the prize for beating the game first in Mahirus room and it shows Ibuki, Hiyoko, and Mikan together. AHHH OUR MEMORIES REALLY WERE STOLEN WHAT A TWIST WHAT A nah this happened in the first game and Monokuma told us like twenty times already.
• We also find pictures of a broken vase, dead Fuyuhikos sister, and dead girl E a.k.a. no I dont know how those photos got in that envelop officer I was given it as a prize combo pack.
• Oh theres a note that implicates Fuyuhiko as the person who gave the pictures to her, promising to talk to her once she beat the game. Smooth move, Fuyuhiko. A real master of crime you are.
• That probably clears Fuyuhiko though. Evidence that too strongly ties someone to a murder is always a red herring. Curses, I thought maybe wed get rid of another super annoying character two cases in a row.
• Hajime is given a choice of investigating Fuyuhiko with Chiaki or looking at sand footprints with Nagito. He chooses Nagito. This is why you arent allowed to pick things, Hajime. Were going to get to the beach and Nagito is going to be eating the sand because an ultimate stepped on it.
• Gundham shows up and is like well IM GLAD you didnt invite me to the beach I didnt even want to go I was busy I was at a better beach with hookers and blackjack WHY DIDNT YOU INVITE ME WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. Gundham, please, go look for clues. Youre going to die if we cant solve this now is not the time to sulk about missing a beach party.
• Apparently while we were all investigating, Nagito stole everyones shoes so he could figure out who made the footprints in the sand and not because hes the ultimate foot fetish-ist. Suuuuuuuuure. He claims the footprints are Hiyokos and I tell him he can keep the shoes Ill just walk around barefoot from now on.
• Nagito also stole gummies from Hiyokos room. Im now just waiting for him to pull out a pocketful of underwear and try to tell me how these are the key to solving the whole case.
• Mikan used this time to finish the autopsy, and has determined that Mahiru died instantly. Also she found a note in her pocket that is like Hey it is me Hiyoko I am saying SUSPICIOUS THINGS to make you think Im the murderer but Im not. Not falling for it game. Theres too much evidence that its Hiyoko, which means clearly I cannot drink the wine in front of meerI mean, clearly it isnt her.
• Sonia reveals her research too. Hey, good job gang not being useless. Everyone is doing something! Except for the dumb ones, but thats ok dumb people just dont mess anything up!
• Sonia links the murder to Sparkling Justice, another serial killer because we havent used all the tropes from the first game just yet. Nagito laughs and says Im pretty sure Ive seen a twist like this in some video game I dont laugh because they ran out of their self-referential humor budget like a case and a half ago.
• Fuyuhiko doesnt show up for the class trial right away, so the little robot bear hulks out and gets super buff. Every now and then, you are fairly certain you happen upon a sentence that has never been uttered by man before, and Im nearly certain that is one of them.

Chapter 2: Deadly Life Reactions And HOT TAKES And Oh I think I Know Who Did It

• Why Mahiruwhy? me too Hajime, me too
• There is a weird smiley face mask on the floor next to Mahiru. Currently going with the theory that she was killed by wayward trick or treaters.
• Hey Hajime? Before thiswe were having a great time right? Good input, Kazuichi. Hey Hajime remember boobs those were great right?
• Chiaki stops all the other dorks from trampling all over the very important footprints in the sand evidence. Good job, master detective Chiaki. Please dont die or I dont know who is going to stop Akane from eating all the evidence.
• Monokuma has a surprisingly hard time convincing the dumber ones here that Mahiru was murdered. I-its notlike, an a-accident or something? Kazuichi sputters. In his defense though accidentally bludgeoning yourself with a baseball bat and leaving a suspicious mask nearby is the third leading cause of death in the anime world, behind sexy pratfalls and robot attacks.
• Monokuma is also very clear that an accident is still a murder. Im going to take this to the Danganronpa appellate court because that is some bullshit, man. Fingers crossed this murder wasnt some sort of super convoluted accident that gets a cool character punished because that would be the lamest outcome possible.
• When Kazuihi cries his eyes look a little like fried eggs and its creeping me out.
• Cause of death is a single blow to the head with a blunt object. A single blow? No, no way. I need a second forensic analyst in here because that is just not right. It looks like shes covered in an entire paint can of pink paint. You dont get that much blood from one blow! Hell, I dont think theres that much blood in her head in total. My new current theory is she was run over by an EMT carrying blood bags. Its the only way this much blood makes sense.
• Hajime points out that him and Kazuichi were arriving at the beach house when the murder occurred and mopes about the fact that if they had just went to the beach house they couldve saved her. I TRIED BUT KAZUICHI STOPPED ME. On the plus side I guess this clears Kazuichi completely.
• Kazuichi spends the investigation complaining about the lack of variety of beverages in the fridge. Man, I totally understand. Dont you hate it when one of your friends get murdered and theres no Juicy Juice in the fridge? What am I supposed to do drink water like some sort of poor person? Now I wish I was the dead one.
• Peko: Chiaki seems peeved about this whole killing thing. Hajime: Yeah well most people would be killing is unforgiveable. Peko: Oh uh yeah I sure hate killing too, yep, no one hates killing more than me *cough cough* Hey guys what if the killer was like really cute though then would we lover her OR HIM again? Ok so Peko is the murderer, got it.
• We find the murder weapon which was conveniently left on the scene and covered in blood, and Chiaki points out how it is the same as the one in Twilight Murder Side Story Whatever Its Called. Apparently she got the good ending somehow. She truly is the Ultimate Gamer guys.
• Im confused why Girl E keeps flashing back as a stock photo of a girl slumped over against the wall. Like, why is this the one instance in the game where they needed to use a real body. I know the game is animated but I want to include in the budget a young female actress that can dress up in a school girls uniform and pretend to be dead. Uhjust because it is hard to draw, not because its my secret fetish.
• Apparently the only drinks left are either sweetened or colored. Well, we solved the case of childhood obesity.
• There are a bunch of empty water bottles in the trash. Either the killer is suffering from rabies and has an unquenchable thirst or they washed themselves off in here for some reason. Whichoh wait, Peko was wet when we saw her. She really is the killer, huh?
• Sonia sees the mask and points out its something something dont care stopped listening from an anime. Apparently 90% of people in her country watch that anime. Didnt know her country was located in a suburban teenagers bedroom.
• Sonia rushes out of the beach house to do some research, where Im assuming that research here is a euphemism for making my totally sweet cosplay why didnt I think of this before. With Sonia gone and Mikan gone, that just leaves Chiaki as the sole person I trust to do anything not dumb. THANKS SONIA YOU JERK.
• I slapped both my hands onto my cheeks, and faced Mahirus body one more time. Those better damn well be your face cheeks, Hajime.
• We find an enormous gummy candy in the closet. The kind that Hiyoko likes to eat, which clearly exonerates her entirely. There is a 0% chance the game makes the killer the person who leaves obvious evidence at the scene and is the only one seen running away from the murder location just after the murder happens. The trial would be like two minutes. Uh we saw you leave and you dropped this. Damn, nice job guys I didnt think this through
• The shower room is out of order, which probably explains why the killer had to use all the water bottles to clean off. Sorry, killer, youre going to be caught because Monokuma forgot to pay his utilities bill.
• I find Akane alone in the bathroom. DEAR PENTHOUSE.
• She helps me investigate the little window by climbing on my shoulders and telling me her stepmoms lovers like to get drunk and give her massages. DEAR PENTHOUSE, IGNORE MY EARLIER LETTER IM AFRAID IT MIGHT BE EVIDENCE IN AN UPCOMING COURT CASE.
• Akane proves you can open the window easily, so the killer couldve (and absolutely did considering there is a five minute scene dedicated to it) made their escape through here. The point is made that it is really, really high up so obvious that means the killer had to be.NBA LEGEND DETLEF SCHREMP. Curse you, NBA legend Detlef Schremp. I shouldve known our paths would cross again.
• Akane posits two people couldve worked together to get one out of the window. Or maybe one really talented person that is like a ninja. Hmmmwho in the group is sort of like a ninja (PEKO PEKO THE MURDERER IS PEKO).
• Hajime forces Chiaki to come with him to go play the game again so he can get the good ending. Shes like a real life embodiment of GameFAQs.
• I never expected that person to be waiting there. Mahiru? Byakuya? NBA legend Detlef Schremp? Oh, no its just Nagito. Thats not the most unexpected thing that couldve been there tbqh.
• Apparently Monomi untied Nagito because she wanted everyone to get along and be friends. Monomi, you giant, multicolored moron. If she had a cage of mice and a cage of cats, shed open them both hoping theyd start a friendship parade and be surprised when she can back and all the mice were mysteriously missing.
• Nagito does weird things for a while and we shoo him away with a broom so we can play some vidya games.
• Apparently the secret ending is unlocked by pressing down five times on the title screen, a clue Chiaki deciphered from the fact the game says down five after you beat it the first time. You know, perhaps I was the real idiot all along.
• Now we get to the REAL TRUTH edition of the game that opens up with a long scrolling summary telling me we can now solve the real mystery. Oh boy, I cant wait.

Suprak's Current Thoughts and Musings
I feel like the killer is one of the ladies who showed up at the diner with the special animation. Peko is wet, Akane is covered in blood, and Sonia has a wetsuit on. One of those three things is important. I could see reasons for all of them. Peko swimming to wash away the blood, Sonia wearing a wet suit to hide blood underneath, and Akane covered in blood because she is Akane and forget that blood is a clue. It would actually be kind of clever for the game to make the killer the "obvious" suspect once, because we've been trained to not suspect the obvious suspect in these games. I don't think it is Akane though as she has Nekomaru as an alibi. The other two are kinda a coin flip for me though.

I was a little wrong on the "locked room" prediction. There is an element to that, but after Mikan and Ibuki show up the boys got distracted and didn't really pay any attention to comings and goings until people walked in the diner. Killer could technically be someone that walked by when we weren't looking, but that isn't as much fun.

I have to say, I really like this cast of characters so far. My list of people I dislike or don't care about is rapidly shrinking. I'd probably rearrange things in my tiers slightly now as a couple more have grown on me more so:
People I'd be really sad to see die: Sonia, Chiaki, Mikan, Gundham, Hiyoko, Nagito
People I'd be kinda sad to see die: Hajime, Nekomaru, Ibuki, Kazuichi
People I hope die before the good characters: Peko, Akane
Fuyuhiko: Fuyuhiko

This overall was a fun chapter. It still has that big early game energy I like and the characters all interact well together. I liked them trying to have some fun still even with how messed up things are and they actually did a pretty good job fleshing out all of the characters a little more.

The only thing that feels like a little bit of a waste was Nagito. I loved his scene with Hajime this chapter, and Kazuichi and Nekomaur absolutely did the smart thing. But I feel like him being around and stirring up shit is a really fun dynamic that they didn't use as much here. Maybe they're just saving that for later chapters though!

14. Mahiru She was probably the most normal character out of the entire pack, so of course she gets her head exploded in chapter two. THIS IS DANGANRONPA DAMMIT NOT C-SPAN GET A QUIRK OR GET OUT. I really thought that whole photographer thing was going to be used in like every case, but nah one case was all we got. Halfway through this daily life I had a feeling it might be her getting it, since she got all weird and despondent for no reason. R.I.P. photographer lady. You will be sort of kind of missed. Not as bad as Byakuya though.

13. Peko I feel like the fact she was swimming is going to come back. No alibi, plus if she did get blood on her she could have gotten it off while swimming, PLUS she couldve murdered Mahiru then swam to another beach due to her athleticism to make it look like she wasnt leaving the scene of the crime.

12. Sonia That whole wetsuit thing could be important too. Like maybe she is bloody underneath it or something and is covering it up with the body suit. She was also the one to suggest everyone getting together, so it could have been a plan to kill someone all along. Although Mahiru wasnt supposed to come according to Mikan. What were you even doing there weird photographer lady?

11. Chiaki The other big suspect, although I think shes probably fine and probably shouldnt have her up this high. She did have that one part in the chapter where she was like I WONT LET ANYONE DIE which was a weird outburst. Methinks the lady doth protest too much HMMMM? I feel like she is the most likely to make it all the way to the end out of everyone though, which probably means she dies this chapter based on my predictions so far.

10. Fuyuhiko The final maybe a suspect guy but probably isnt really a suspect at all. He did have that weird envelope at the beginning which could besomething? I dont know what that was, but the game is clearly pointing at him every chapter to be like WATCH THIS GUY HES A MURDERER which means he clearly wont be. They did this with Byakuya last game, so clearly some time around chapter four he is going to discover the power of friendship and skip with us to the finale. Unless he killed Mahiru here he was at the beach for seemingly no reason.

9. Nekomaru He probably isnt the killer this chapter since he was sparring with Akane, but I dont think hell be around much longer after it. Part of it is the fact hes the size of a house and like Sayaka last game huge hulking brutes arent making it to the end. Part of it is the fact he gets less screen time than the other characters. Part of it because Im tired of turning a corner and seeing his package staring me in the face. Wear some looser jeans, dude.

8. Kazuichi He definitely didnt do it this time, but I dont know how much longer a guy with teeth and a tongue like that is going to get through this game. Especially if Sonia was the killer, I could totally see this dude snapping and murdering someone before the trial is even over. Also youre a terrible wingman I never said anything about Chiakis jugs you monster.

7. Gundham Poor hamster man just wanted to come with, and both Hajime and Kazuichi just left him behind. The other victim this chapter? Gundhams heart.

6. Nagito Hes too good of a villain to go before the very end. Hes the devil on everyones shoulder, whispering sweet nothings of how he will help in their ear while sliding a knife in their hand and telling them to just do it already. He didnt kill Mahiru for sure, but maybe he helped talk someone into it. It wouldnt surprise me if he isnt the very final character to bite it.

5. Akane I overreacted a bit when I thought she was the killer. No way does the game have the killer saunter in covered in blood. How terrible would this case be if the killer showed up covered in blood before the investigation started? The trial would be a single non stop debate and then it would just end. Plus Nekomaru could just be like uh no, I wasnt sparring with her if he wasnt. So she didnt do this one. She also seems too dumb to do any of the murders, and the game likes cleavage too much to just get rid of her. She might make it.

4. Hiyoko She clearly wasnt the killer, because again the game wouldnt show the killer fleeing the crime scene. And if it is the same as last game where three people need to see a body for the alarm to go off, she was two and Kazuichi was three. So clearly someone else saw the body too (MURDERER). I think shell probably get some sort of redemption arc now that her bestie Mahiru bit it, and shes got this mean sort of sassiness that makes her one of the funnier characters. But who knows, maybe now shell go full psycho now that her one friend has been taken.

3. Ibuki The fun weirdo character? This series loves fun weirdo characters! Shes got a bit of fake Junko in her face and the way she talks, and I sort of dig her design so far. Id be surprised if she winds up dead.

2. Hajime He could still be the other half of Nagitos weirdo partnership, but I bet he gets some sort of redemption thing through FRIENDSHIP or something and makes it to the end anyway. Plus hes the protagonist so I should probably stop ranking him below people Im not 100% sure on.

1. Mikan Which obviously doesnt include the important forensic analysis character that likes getting naked. Thats basically more important than a protagonist to this series.

Suprak Finishes Chapter 2: Daily Life

• The next day we see Fuyuhiko making his way back to his cabin. He is carrying a weird folder and when Hajime asks if he went to play the game, he soils himself and knocks over the block tower he was building. Then he threatens me again. It is like getting threatened by a particularly small kitten.
• Mahiru is making breakfast for Nagito in the restaurant, and shes worried how long theyre going to keep him tied up for. This brings up a more concerning point: how does he poop? Did they give him a bucket? Is someone helping him? Is he soiling himself? HOW DOES HE POOP? #poopgate #whataretheyhiding #countthevote
• Hajime, on Nagito: As if a black poison was falling from his mouth every time he spoke, filling his surroundings with darkness Yeah, that was the feeling I was getting, too, and I absolutely love this description. I feel like this whole scene is an anime version of Clarice meeting with Hannibal Lector. QUID PRO QUO, HAJIME.
• Nagito also seemed to know that Mahiru was going to excuse herself to go dosomething. Welp, thats worrisome. He changes the subject and for some reason Hajime forgets to bring it up again even though something is clearly up.
• After free time with Hiyoko, Hajime decides its time he plays the game. Every time he meets someone on the way he panics and offers a weird explanation to for being out of bed so late, except for Mahiru who is even more suspicious than him. Dunno what shes up to, but she is clearly either the murderer or murdered this chapter.
• Hajime plays the game and gives it a very bad review. Monokuma is clearly a better torturer than a game designer. Its about some girls and one of the girls dies and then another one dies and then it says game over down five. Whatever man, I cant wait to post a review of this on GameFAQs.
• The next morning Mikan says were lucky its sunny or it would be a waste, then gets super weird and was like WASTE WHO SAID WASTE I SAID SMASTE. Uh huh. Maybe Mikan is the murderer this time.
• Uh oh Mahiru is missing. Shes definitely dead already lets just not look for her guys. Oh wait Akane already saw her sulking away outside the mansion. I take it back, shes the murderer!
• Kazuichi wants to secretly meet me at the supermarket at 2:30. Probably needs someone to help him lug back the enormous bottles of soda.
• Free time is interesting this time. I can only hang out with five possible characters. I feel like maybe this is a clue. It was Nekomaru (who was my choice) and four others (who I forgot to write down). Dunno why everyone else was unavailable. Ill just assume theyve all been murdered for now.
• Actually the girls are all going for a secret swim and Kazuichi needs my help crashing it. That sounds less perverted than I thought, actually! I thought he was going to ask for my help burying him in the sand so he could spy on them, but this is fairly normal. Aw yeah killing the pervert character first.
• Hajime finally agrees because after that man nut scene, it is pretty clear he is down with lady oogling. Kazuichi is excited. Yaaahooooo! Thats my Hajime! Thats how a soul brother should act! Hajime and Kazuichi are now bonded for life by their shared interest in women in bikinis.
• Gundham is waiting for us at the bridge and it is clear he wants to hang out with us but is too awkward and Gunham-y to say so. I talk to him like eight times hoping video game Hajime gets the hint to invite him, but he is a jerk and leaves him behind with his hamsters.
• Oh wait theres going to be a murder. Were staking out a spot in front of the beach to wait for them, but in reality we are making a locked door sort of scenario. NOOOOO BUT MAH SUNBATHING LADIES. Kazuichi is going to be crushed. My money is on Mahiru shes been acting all mopey.
• Haha as soon as the girls show up Kazuichi basically blurts out his plan. Hes like oh weird you guys are bikinis I MEAN HERE lets go to the beach I MEAN WHAT ARE YOU DOING. Hajime says hes bad at this, and I solemnly shake my head in agreement.
• Also Fuyuhiko was there but then he wasnt. Disappeared. Or maybe hes standing behind a shrub hes a very tiny man.
• Kazuichi brings me a matching speedo. I DIDNT AGREE TO THIS I DIDNT AGREE TO ANY OF THIS
• Hiyoko is sprinting away in tears from the beach house. Uh oh. UH OH.
• Chiaki shows up in her swimsuit and everyone forgets about the girl sobbing that just ran past them because there are boobs now. COME ON GUYS FORGET THE BOOBS THERE HAS BEEN A MURDER
• Kazuichi starts loudly shouting about Chiakis jugs, then blame it on me. Some wingman, bro.
• UmAkane shows up covered in blood. Jeez, easiest mystery weve ever solved. Can we skip to the punishment yet? She claims Nekomaru did it to her during a sparring match. SUUUUUURE, LIAR.
• Peko shows up covered in water and claims she was trying to swim to a different island for three hours but couldnt find them. What about the other three islands like a couple hundred feet away LIAR. Maybe Peko is the murderer.
• Sonia shows up latein a wetsuit. MORE LIKE MURDER SUIT WHY WERE YOU LATE MURDERER?!?!
• Hajime is surrounded by girls in swimsuits and thinks it would be better to go help Kazuichi set up towels and umbrellas. Bro. BRO.
• Hajime hears a body discovering announcement. UH OH. Then he refuses to believe it and decides its no big deal to check the beach house where he just heard screaming coming from. Yeah, because the first one you already heard was just a hilarious prank.
• MAHIRU NOOOOO. I kinda saw this coming halfway through the chapter but I'm still bummed because she was pretty cool.

I'm actually surprised both Past and Present Suprak got the item from the lottery thing that sends you to the Mahiru/Hiyoko scene there. That only happens if you have the right "gift" from the gift lottery. (I was lowkey hoping Present Suprak wouldn't and just assume Past Suprak was having a fever dream during that section of notes or something)

Oh interesting. That makes more sense I was had no clue what was happening when Hajime started screaming about his man nut urges. I think items must carry over between playthroughs. I didn't bother to check, but I did just reuse my same save file but restarting from the prologue and I still have Akane's friendship fragments, at the very least.

It's a real horror series that began in the 90s on the original Playstation by a company that would eventually become Grasshopper (of Suda51 fame), then got dumped onto Spike before they merged with Chunsoft, who made a few more games for Playstation and DS. Biden wants a big relief package. Republicans don't want extended unemployment. Manchin + other republicans don't want 2k checks. What a profoundly stupid thing for Manchin to object to. Like Tony pointed out, this was one of the main things democrats campaigned on. Biden was literally in Georgia the day before going "vote for me and we'll get the 2k passed" and now Manchin wants to torpedo that.

I have no clue if any of Murkowski/Collins/Romney would be on board with 2k + extended unemployment or if someone can shake some sense into Manchin but here's hoping.

He's still useful in getting Schumer the majority role, if nothing else. Biden can staff his cabinet now. At least one SC vacancy can get filled. There are a ton of things this actually helps with.

But Manchin will never be useless as long as he comes from one of the reddest states in the country. Democrats normally lose there by 30+ points so he is something of a miracle.
