Detroit was the only one we got to before the pandemic started. As a total outsider tourist I didn't think it was that bad, but there were a few things that made me pause. We had one rideshare driver that panicked when a panhandler came up to the window and asked for change. I don't know if it's because it was winter and cold as shit and unusual there that time of year (in Texas you just expect this at every stoplight), but I was convinced this guy thought he was gonna get carjacked.
