Anybody undecided, this could really sway them. I'm worried that the left is actually harming themselves. The protesters, BLM, etc, should be speaking out and saying en masse that the riots do not speak for them, but the problem is a lot of people are supporting the riots, and it's going to only alienate the middle. If we could all agree the rioting is bad, then maybe it'd be ok, but there's a TON of mixed messaging, and a lot of people say they support the riots, and BLM hasn't really made it clear enough if they don't. My father will just talk about how Trump made the greatest trade deal ever with China, and how we had the lowest unemployment in history because Trump made so many jobs. He'll talk about how Trump made sure everybody got masks and ventilators because he gets things done. He won't care what Trump said to the public. My sister likes Trump because he's not PC, and she sees the left as attacking white people. She'll think it was smart of Trump to not panic everybody. My mom is left more than right, and despises Trump, but is terrified of the far-left because she believes they want to defund the police and she is so far against that she is willing to vote for Biden and then all Republicans to make sure that nothing gets done until we can get a 'good candidate' who isn't a socialist or who wants to defund the police. She believes Biden will give in to the "far left". I hope Biden will win, but I don't think this will swing anything, and I do wish the left would stop supporting rioting and looting because its losing central people from the cause even if I agree that what we really need is police reform. All we have here though is Trump admitting to something we already knew.
