I won't entirely compare to Haunting of Hill House because that might be lightning in a bottle but until parts of episode 7 and the last parts of episode 8 I didn't get any sense of the same spark that made Hill House as excellent as it was, in Bly Manor. And this is a bit of a petty mark against Bly Manor but something that took me out of the story, the dialogue was more American English at times. And when the setting is in 1980's Britain and most of the characters are British. It sticks out. --- I Shot the Sheriff. |
