Playsaver - when I read the topic title, I immediately thought of the same thing.

I've even asked myself, "Why do we look for intelligent life outside of Earth, when we have not even found intelligent life on Earth?"

I want to create a Poll of the Day, but I cannot find a link or button that allows me to create one.

BTW, the PotD topic is Have you ever played Elf Bowling?

Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley.

I'm a fan of the classics, and it really is good.

the games stagnated horribly once the series hit the 3DS and it's really clear they ran out of ideas

i'd like to see a new take on a Mario RPG since there's basically none of them being made right now

I, too would like to see a new take on a Mario RPG, especially a take on Paper Mario.

TopicPoll idea: have you ever played a game start to finish in one session?

It just occurred to me that this is a somewhat bad question.

Because some early games didn't have a save system of any sort.

For example, Back to the Future (NES) (Why'd I ever play that?) and Wonder Boy in Monster Land (Master System), and other early games lacked any sort of save system.

And as an added requirement, the game must be a game with some sort of save feature, such as the Zelda games or a password feature, such as the NES Metroid.

Was a NES that just one day decided it was time to slowly start not working on me.

At first, it behaved right 95% of the time, then the number started dropping - when it hit 50% I realized it was time for it to go.

Or also ALL of any Leisure Suit Larry game?

Or also any choice at the end of 11th Hour (kudos if you actually own a computer that can run it.)

It's probably not the first one, but the earliest I remember is God of War 1, pushing the dude in the cage up the ramp to place him as a sacrifice to the flames so I could proceed, with him begging and pleading with me the whole way.

I didn't like that at all, and it made me hate Kratos. Then he does a bunch more evil shit in GoW 2, and GoW 3 opens up w/ him storming Olympus and probably dooming humanity, and I just turned the game off and never went back to it. I can't play games where I don't want my character to succeed. It had reached a point where it was more satisfying to watch him die.
How about the part of GOW with Kratos and the two ladies in his bed?

I just thought of another one:

Letting Ted and Gremio die in Suikoden I.

For me, it had to be the first time I joined the Thieves' Guild and Dark Brotherhood in Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (my first TES game.)
