I don't even engage in politics. But a friend of mine who posts here came out as Trans, and I wished her congratulations. Unfortunately I used the wrong pronoun out of habit while doing so, and GameFaqs mods sent me to Purgatory for a few months. My friend wasn't even offended, she recognized it would be a process and old habits are hard to break.

But this convinced me that discussion of the topic is never destined to go over well.

Mobile Games & Cryptocurrency marketing. Currently freelance, as my contract-to-hire for a large Crypto Company got terminated when Covid quarantines began. The building that housed our office shut down operations, forcing us to move out and WFH. Unfortunately, being the marketer for a tech company means that unless I'm actually in the office all the developers forget that I exist. As such, I'd go weeks without any instructions - so three months into quarantine they laid off me and my entire team. They claimed that by now interacting w/ us they actually got more sht done, and they realized marketing wasn't all that important.

...when I started working there the token was less than a quarter, at the end of my Q2 campaign the token was over $5. After they laid off the marketing team the token price dropped to $1.50 <---so fuck they basically fucked themselves.

That's the thing w/ Cryptocurrency, there are soo many competitors out there that it doesn't matter how well your token is designed - all the architecture doesn't mean jack shit if nobody knows it exists. If the community doesn't see your token being talked about, then they'll just assume it no longer exists, as so many companies come and go.

This is why shitcoins can rise to the top so quickly - it's just about marketing. It is also why the cryptocurrency landscape in general is associated w/ so many scams. The good products spend so much time designing the product that they forget to meket the damn thing. Meanwhile all the scam projects do nothing but market...because they don't have a product to begin with.

The best tokens have a good development team, and a good marketing team. But, my company had to learn this the hard way.

You want to hear something incredibly cruel? I was brought on under contract because the global marketing manager was pregnant, and they needed somebody to keep things operating smoothly when she eventually went on maternity leave. She trained me, and then went on maternity leave. I finished running our campaign and then the entire marketing team was let go...except for her...because that would be illegal. Instead, they terminator her the day her maternity leave ended...the very day she was to return to work.

Nobody knows what that means. The majority of Americans still don't know how to hide their browsing history when watching porn. They are uneducated blue collar workers.

Bernie appealed to college educated folk. He spoke in terms only they could understand. This is why Trump is so popular among Blue Collar Middle America. They can actually understand him when he talks.

All Yang had to do was say if you vote for me I'm going to give you 48 thousand dollars no strings attached. This is something the impoverished can understand.

If you start offering Americans guaranteed 1k a month then a the poor people & young will vote.

The majority of America is poor, nearly a quarter live in such poverty that if they miss a paycheck they could end up homeless.

Most kids 18-24 are poor just by the nature of being young. They live off there parents. 1k to party sounds nice.

The reason Yang lost is because nobody knew he existed. The Dems did everything in their power to black him our. The Dems don't actually care about helping Americans they just want to remain in power. Nominating Yang would have forced them out of power because Yang doesn't give a shit about the party line.

The only thing the Dems & Republicans have in common is they both line power & money. Neither wants Yang to win.

If you are standing in line to vote Trump or Biden and some Asian dude walks up and gives you 48k in cash to vote for him instead...what are you going to do.

If Yang can get his message out. He wins. UBI was the key to beating Trump, and on the flip side it was the key to defeating Biden. But neither side actually wants to end poverty...if they did that then they wouldn't be super rich anymore.

The dems blacked out Yang, and did everything to keep him out of the primaries. The fact that he overcame his media blackout just goes to show what a much better candidate he was.

If Yang was elected instead of Biden he would have stolen at the very least 25% of Trumps vote. If dems truly want Trump out of office then they would also vote for him. I unfortunately think the liberal elites rather have Trump as president than Yang however. The one thing both sides have in common is that they hate the poor.

I agree with a lot of Yang's ideas, but I don't think he could've won and losing his supporters to Trump hasn't had any actual impact in the key swing states.

Yang was basically bribing Trumps voters away from him. If you are living in middle america working minimum wage struggling to feed your children, then it doesn't matter what type of "america fuck yeah" mentality you possess...you are voting for the guy who is going to give you 1k a month. The liberal elites in power always care about their "first world problems" the fact that there are poor people in the country (especially poor white people) is a concept they just can't seem to grasp!

Half of Yang's supporters are republicans who are currently voting for Trump. The other half were dems, and only 25% are voting for Biden. The other are refusing to vote.

Like them or hate them, Bernie & Yang are not liberal puppets. Yang despite running as a dem is clearly down the middle, he hates both parties equally. Meanwhile, Bernie is the the left what Trump is to the right...his own thing.

In both cases Bernie & Yang steal conservative voters away from Trump. Biden doesn't steal anything away from Trump. He's just a reskin of Hilary. The liberals were so arrogant they figured that "Trump is so terrible, that some conservative voters will vote for Biden just to be rid of him"

...but that isn't what happened. They didn't vote Biden. They just didn't vote period...but the same can be said for the liberal portion of the Bernie & Yang supporters. So it just evens out, and we are back to 2016 again.
