What stands out in my mind is the scene in the original in which Laurie is in her bedroom, looking out the window and sees Michael in the backyard. We see a shot of Michael. Then a shot of Laurie looking at Michael. Then a shot of where Michael should be, but he's not there. She didn't blink or look away. It happens in the span of 3 seconds and she looks visibly shaken. By film logic, Laurie saw him literally disappear. It's really no wonder she was so paranoid in the 2018 sequel. She saw the devil all those years ago. --- walk like thunder |
