The landlord? I don't see how it's really any of her business. I'm a landlord, I don't really give a shit how my tenant makes a living so long as it's legal. You know, cause I'm a normal person with a sense of healthy personal boundaries.

I'm not your daddy, I just own the house you're renting. Pay me on time and don't fuck up my property and we're good.

I can respect that.

I don't give a shit, that's the point.

I mean, I think I kind of agree with you. The fact that people are paying for porn in 2021 kind of baffles me. Which why I don't subscribe to anyone there.

But I could not possibly care less if someone else does or if some girl makes some scratch doing it. Literally has zero effect of my life

Then why do you care if someone else blocks it from happening?

But how often is often? Would be interesting to see someone run the stats on it, but it's ultimately pointless. I say they use games as a backdrop to talk about both the game and other things more often than bitching; you imply the opposite. Does it matter who's right? Not really.

I just finished listening to them playing Mario Party and while they gripe about mechanics and stuff, they talk about way more non-game related things for that particular set of videos. You see what you wanna see, I guess.

Yeah, I can imagine that dealing with the side effects is hard. Unfortunately you're in this weird balancing act of managing your disease to where you can function well enough, and also dealing with medication side effects to where you still have an acceptable quality of life. Hopefully you're not on risperidone since that shit is notorious for galactorrhea. But then again if it's the only med that works, what are you gonna do?

EDIT: To answer your question about if it's permanent. SSRIs are notorious for decreasing libido, i.e. your sexual drive. They are not known for causing erectile dysfunction, preventing you from orgasm, or decreasing your sperm count. Usually, whatever your sex drive feels like after the 6 week mark when the SSRI has hit it's therapeutic level is about hat you can expect while you're on it. It usually doesn't get better. Talk to your prescribing physician, and if you've been unfortunate enough to be treated by an NP then demand to be treated by a physician.

It's highly unethical and there are multiple publications about this type of eugenics. But this is in reference to prescribing a medication or performing surgery specifically to suppress an individual's reproductive capability. My major society (ACOG) released a publication about sterilization in the mentally handicapped, or for individuals with limited decision-making capacity who also have a genetic disorder.

A great resource to give you an idea about physician organizational stances:
https://rb.gy/cbfaiz
https://rb.gy/97hkbf

What you're talking about sounds more like a side effect of a medication designed to treat a completely different disease, and that side effect was poorly communicated to you. This is by no means illegal or unsafe, especially considering that you have decision-making capacity and just need to have a discussion with a physician about switching to a different medication if the impotence* bothers you. Also, make sure you speak with a physician, an actual doctor, and not some garbage know-nothing nurse practitioner. They're notorious for not knowing a damn thing and prescribing weird shit willy-nilly.

EDIT: I had to shorten links because of the site's character limit. One is from ACOG, one is from the AMA. Both are reputable.

She mentioned being halfway through her pregnancy, so at least 20 weeks. Thats around the time pregnancy women can suffer from complications from placenta previa which sounds like is what happened.

Hehe, I'm an OB. I was just curious. It looks like she was in the process of getting a spinal during that picture, so she's either getting a D&C, a D&E, or a cesarean depending on how far along. Maaaybe she's in a labor unit and is going ahead with an induction. My heart goes out for her if that's the route she chose. Inductions always seem like the safest but are actually the most dangerous (although I'd never recommend a cesarean for a stillborn). My guess is a D&E, which are almost always emotionally taxing.

I promise you it ends up costing less over the course of 10, 20, 30 years to just provide free, clean needles to a heroin addict rather than paying for the 1 to 3 hospitalizations a year to treat overdoses and blood-borne diseases from needle sharing.

I TAed problem sets and homework two consecutive years to second-year students. I had my own class of twenty and I was expected to teach competently and mark homework competently.

Guess what? If someone said they submitted but I never received it (paper, they threw it into a locked container that I had a key to), we'd err on the side of believing them and give them a second chance. Guess how many abused the system? Very few, if any at all

Students are adults and deserve to be treated as such

that last sentence rings so true. I wish more people on the higher end of the academic chain understood this.

I definitely hit it regularly, which is why it blows my mind even more. I have been eating a shitload less and I was rotating through the ICU which was usually a 14-15 hour work day with 2 hours in the gym right after. It has to be because I fatigued myself. I should have just asked for the damn spotter but it was a weight I'm usually super comfortable with.

Good news is that I just talked to my buddy and he provided a shit load of reassurance just now. I still think i'm going to end up getting the MRI in the next few weeks.

It's been about 4 weeks and conservative therapy is only slightly helping. I was benching a very moderate weight for me, I didn't get ambitious at all, and my shoulder popped with anterior motion as I went to rack the weight. I'm so fucking bummed right now. I was really looking forward to getting back in the gym but the pain is not improving enough even with all this rest. I'm texting an ortho buddy of mine, but he works out of state so I'll probably need a referral. I want to avoid surgery at all costs since that means more time out of the gym, and I'm a surgeon myself so no more OR time for a good 3 months. I can just kick myself, this sucks.
