The characters are all very well fleshed out, too - its sort of similar to Animorphs where each book is narrated by a different character. Theres the leader guy who is Jewish and suffers from a hero complex, the Marco-esque comic relief guy who is kind of a shithead, a black guy who is super smart and scientifically knowledgeable but has crippling OCD, a girl who is a devout Catholic and sort of perfect student type popular personality, and the witch, who is creepy and manipulative. --- An Injury to One is an Injury to All https://iww.org/ |

How bout that 5 minute overview? :DThe basic premise is: a bunch of high school kids get pulled into an alternate dimension called Everworld where all of the old world gods exist, having left the original world behind. The whole world basically exists as a giant patchwork of zones that are controlled by different pantheons that border each other (so theres a Greek area and a Norse area and a Roman area, an Aztec area, Egyptian etc.) and these are populated by humans that the gods brought with them when they left the real world. There are also alien gods from other planets/dimensions who exist there as well. The kids have to survive and find/rescue their classmate who is a witch in order to try to get back to the real world.
