I only ask because a friend I knew from HS claimed that her father in law died 12 hours later after getting the vaccine in his left arm. He didnt go to the hospital because the nurses said the pain was normal (turned out to a heart attack)

Anyone else hear anything about people dying after getting either vaccine?

Just about everything in Oregon is being shut down again.

https://katu.com/news/local/oregon-governor-issues-statewide-two-week-freeze-due-to-coronavirus-spike

I feel for restaurant owners here. They're not going to survive a second shutdown because it's going to be longer then 2 weeks. Shocked that malls that are allowed to remain open.

Ugh, I'm so over this.

I would say ventilation. People close windows when temp drops below 50 F.

So you're saying we're all screwed if we keep our windows closed during the winter?

It smells like a camp fire out here in Portland and the air isn't going to be getting better until at least Monday. Luckily there is rain in site for early next week.

It's beginning to level off a bit in Oregon. The numbers for the 4th of July were high but nothing like the experts predicted.

Next big hurdle will be labor day and then "school" starts so less people will be outside.

didn't expect union to get the 1# spot today. usually it's multnomah.

Turns out it was Umatilla county that had the top spot the other day, not Union.

Umatilla county also demoted back to a stay at home order for 3 weeks.

416 new cases in Oregon today, 5 deaths. 101 cases in Union County, 63 in Multnomah and 61 in Washington. Last week there was a 6.6 positive rate, down to 5.1

Multnomah county now on the Governors watch list.

Was curious how Alaska had an uncontrolled spread, then I found this...

https://www.ktuu.com/2020/07/24/dhss-reports-59-new-covid-19-cases-in-alaska-and-7-nonresident-cases/

Yikes, Anchorage is getting hit hard. I'm even more shocked that it found its way to places like Bethel and Nome.
