block is better but only because cups can be damaged; bowls are much less likely to be damaged, but from what I've seen, there's enough of a price difference that bowls are almost a different product

S3E4 of Disco explains why Adira (human) is able to host the symbiont, but it's kind of silly. DS9 never had a human host. In TNG Riker temporarily hosted a symbiont but wasn't compatible because he was human.

Yeah I had to look it up after watching DIS s03e04, but Riker's time as a Host lasted less than 2 days. The vast majority of Trek exploration of Trills was on DS9 with Jadzia and Ezri.

you may have understood my post to say that forehead ridges were abnormal for Klingons, that would be my mistake for failing to clarify
and yeah, it's weird, TOS Klingons had smooth foreheads because of genetic changes caused by the Empire's attempts to make their own Augments, and apparently Klingon Augments were sort of comparably-delicate pussy-ass Klingons, as opposed to the terrifying badasses that were the Human Augments

Didn't they say they were going to explain how/why the Klingons looked different? And they have yet to do that as far as I remember. I didn't even know season three had started.

that's been explained for years, in ENT mostly I think
it has to do with the Eugenics War >>> Augments >>> Klingon Augments >>> long-lasting physical changes in Klingons, spanning generations
these physical changes (the forehead ridges) didn't effect every Klingon in the Empire, but lots of them
please understand, this explanation is a massive oversimplification but I'm pretty sure it's basically correct

Well, a good night's sleep would have been good, but that ship has sailed.
And since this is the second time you're taking it, you know what you're facing.

If it helps, I'll tell you about my experience.
First, I'm not GRE-smart. I did very well on the Verbal, but all the math stuff was just unrecognizable to me. I had studied, but the math section didn't look like anything I had studied.

Luckily, it's multiple-choice. Instead of wasting time trying to actually do the math, I just used process of elimination on the answers. I don't have my final scores handy, but I did good enough to get accepted after only one try on the GRE.

As for the writing, there was no way to prepare for that; I had no idea what I would have to write about, and once I read the assignment, I knew I didn't possess any knowledge related to the subject, even though as I recall, I didn't need to actually know anything to write it, I just had to answer/address every point in the instructions.

I honestly think the writing portion is just to see how well you can write a totally bullshit response to a question you aren't really prepared to answer. IIRC I got a 4 out of 6 on the writing.

In the end, I think the only thing I did well was was that I beat the clock. I don't know if that is factored into final scores, but I finished the whole math section, and obviously the verbal section was cake.

I doubt anything you studied will turn out to be that useful. Just get through all the sections, don't dwell on any one problem too long, and don't overthink the writing portion. Just answer it, even if the gist of your answer is "I have no fucking idea."

EDIT: Ah, as it turns out, I did have my scores handy. 560 verbal (sounds bad? is it? IDK) 580 math (also sounds bad but IDGAF) and 4.0 verbal.

Instant: maybe 6 weeks ago, Nissin Dark Dragon flavor (I live in Mexico, dunno where else that flavor is available...its salsas negras flavored, which to my palette is kind of a spicy Worcestershire made with chili peppers)

Not Instant: a few weeks ago, ordered Tonkotsu Ramen (pork bone?) from the Test Menu where the restaurant tries new stuff. Very bland, I dont believe for a second that the noodles were fresh, the pork slices were equally flavorless. Cost was roughly $11. I told a friend who works there that a better name would be Sad Trombone Ramen and she said she would pass along the feedback.

Sidenote: every Ramen lover should watch the Ramen Heads documentary.
