That comic definitely has a darker edge though - looks like a lot of action animation wise since the tone seems frantic (in a good way for the story!) and more unnervingI've never really considered the tone of that story to be ominous outside of the introduction maybe, but I suppose there is some of that to it. There would be a mystery in the background, but it's more of a dark screwball comedy, in that there's so much going on, and the anxiety just keeps piling on as it progresses. The supporting cast are all written to be complete parasites; no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I'm gonna finish another page today if I can. I'm just about done with page 4. --- |

I have a partially written film script that I'm in love with, and should really continue, but I haven't looked at it in quite a while. I was toying with the idea of doing it as a comic for a while, and I did a few pages as such. I really don't want to talk about the basic premise without having put up the script anywhere, but it's essentially the worst breakup story imaginable, and things just keep on snowballing. You really pick out nice palettes of colors to the point where the images look so ready - I cant describe it. Im always geeking out at your work but I do genuinely mean they look awesome to me, especially getting inside looks to how you like to plan out the sections.Color is honestly one of my favorite things. I have a very specific taste; almost everything I do is in pastels and sometimes I really have to push myself for more contrast, because sometimes things can get lost in there. But there's this:  And a continuation of the story of my bathroom ceiling and the creepy repair guy, because we're STILL not done with this saga. This guy literally JUST resealed the ceiling last week and closed out my repair request online, even after he was clearly not done, so I'm like "whatever, I don't ever want to see him in my apartment again anyway" (And once, when he took a look at the same problem for like the 3rd or 4th time, this guy brought over some OTHER rando with him to check out my apartment, and mind you, I live alone) Anyway, today he shows up at my door, completely unannounced; no phone call, no nothing, and by the time I put some stuff away and grabbed my mask to answer the door he's just gone. I hate this man. There's so many things I'd have him fix if he weren't such an insufferable, creepy, douchebag. End rant. But probably not the end of this tale. --- |

Same here, a guy contacted me for work in a band -- offers like those I feel are always good for me to take since it puts me on a wheel of work. I am in one of those lazy periods (though this has been on for a year since I've been trying to work on my mental health and opening that up sorta both let me move forward and sorta rut me) and figured 'why the hell not' so we'll see. Too early to be gathering together honestly.I tend to have lazy periods right after a big project too. It's nice to take a break sometimes, even if it becomes over extended every so often. There's actually three! There's a grumpy one at the top, but I'm not as happy with how that one came out. I don't have anything today really, so I'll just post some concept sketches for one of my older cartoons here. Neither of these characters made it into the final version, but they helped me generate some ideas. The gist was that everyone would radiate their own internal colors, and then as they grew older, they'd blend together with the other colors of those they encounter.
