The bill contains a provision that forces Military Bases that are named after confederate generals to be renamed.

Trump much like many of his supporters dislike this because they share many of the confederacy's ideals.

It's more than that. Trump wants to keep the based named after Confederate generals because he has a very personal interest in making sure traitors and losers are officially memorialized. After all, Trump would like to have an airport or Naval vessel named after him one day.

Republicans in Virginia would prefer that the backwoods areas of the state get to decide what happens, and gerrymandered the hell out of the state specifically to keep NoVa, Richmond, and Hampton Roads out of the General Assembly as much as possible.

That stopped working last year, as the entire Assembly went blue.

Yeah, she lost to a Democrat in the last Senate race, and was appointed to McCain's seat when he died.

If you're such a poor candidate to lose to a Democrat in one of the biggest snowbird states in the nation, perhaps you shouldn't be appointed to a seat that's up for election at the same time as one of the most historically unpopular presidents in recent memory?

I like how they ignore in the Bible the ritual the Hebrews had where if you think your wife cheated on you she has to drink bitter water. If she has a miscarriage well she was a dirty cheater. Praise God that we know! It's in Numbers somewhere.

I'm pretty sure the Phillies bullpen is a violation of the Geneva convention. At any rate, they had one relief pitcher who was performing well, and he just took part in an impromptu episode of "Ow, My Balls" yesterday thanks to a 105 MPH line drive that nailed him in the sack.

Somehow he made the play at first before collapsing into a heap. Either way, the Phillies are hosed.
