The real answer is because they are tested daily and can't go to work if the test positive. This is just a gotcha attempt that falls apart if you look into it. If everyone at work for sure doesn't have the virus, why do they need to wear masks? Do they need to wear seatbelts too even though they aren't in a car?

Fuck him. He said most of the right things in public and I think that may have helped some, but to fuck up this badly negates the good. Even from the start we knew who the most at risk were and he fucked up, then he hid it from the people. There is no coming back from that. I never got on the Cuomo train, but I did compliment him being a calming presence at the start who did daily discussions and I think that helped calm some people down and helped them be smart, but the lasting effect of his time during this pandemic will be a complete and utter embarrassment and lives were lost and swept under the rug because of him. He needs to fuck off.

The game is rigged, that doesn't mean they did a good job. If there was a gymnastics routine that was perfect and amazing and got 2s from crooked judges and another performer just sat on the ground and got 10s that doesn't mean the person who did nothing was actually good at gymnastics.

I mean I really don't understand your point. The quality of the lawyers isn't going to be reflected in what happens. They could stand up there and say nothing and win, that doesn't mean they did they jobs well.

I don't get why some people are upset that she was fired. When you work for someone you represent the company you work for, everything you do and say effects them. Freedom of speech doesn't mean you are free from consequences of what you say. She said enough things to make anyone want to distance themselves from her regardless of a trend on Twitter. She didn't come out and say "Hey I voted Trump", no one would care. This isn't an attack on republicans in media, it's not like she wasn't a republican when they hired her.

The reason they were this brazen is because they were delusional enough to believe one of the following.

1. They thought they would succeed and they would be free of any consequences because Trump would still be president.
2. They thought Trump would pardon them before he left office.
3. They thought they would be celebrated as heroes by the majority of Americans and hiding who they are meant they wouldn't get the recognition.

Really these are the only three reasons I can think of for how stupid they are.

I remember loving it, but I also can't remember much about it. That probably explains that game the most, something you won't regret playing but it won't have any lasting impact.

While this is actually expected, I wish they did a better job of explaining it to the people since now antvaxxers will use this as proof that they shouldn't get it. The fact that he is asymptomatic could be a good sign considering his age, maybe people will see that and think the vaccine helped keep it mild instead of thinking the vaccine doesn't work.

Regardless of how her sisters are, they were kind of set up to have problems. They were thrust into the spotlight so young and had no days off pretty much. It's a shame, even though I never cared for him I started to respect him a little. He disregarded every single thing experts said about the elderly and nursing homes, I don't get it. I mean I guess I could get it a little since New York was hit the hardest first and they had to make space, but there had to be a better option than what happened. I appreciate his public stance on the virus, but this is just fucked up.

Fact is even though republicans realize they need to distance themselves from Trump for the betterment of their party, they also realize Trump's followers now make up most of their base and are too scared to actually do the distancing so they instead look out for their own self interest and kiss the ring.

Sort of, but resistant in this instance doesn't mean ineffective, early evidence has suggested that they won't be as effective. Some people believe the vaccines will still be above that 50% threshold, though that isn't a certainty, but 50% is a far cry from the results we were seeing with the other stands. It sounds like for now it could just be a blip, something extra needs to be boosted in the current vaccines which I guess is suppose to be entirely possible, but I haven't read enough. I did read that some of the future vaccines like the Johnson and Johnson one may be more effective.

Either way vaccines are needed regardless of the effectiveness with the new strands since less infections means less ways for the virus to mutate into something vaccine resistant.

Yeah because after the last decline it just went away and didn't get worse or anything. We should disregard new information because it will never come back.

You're talking about everyone really. Incels are in record numbers these days and they aren't just fat, some are average looking guys who think a virgin 18 year old Kate Upton isn't just realistic, but that they are entitled to those types. And that is scary, but with vaccines around the corner and them appearing to be effective against this variant, proper precautions and staying home unless you need to leave should keep you relatively safe.

The Brazil variant is what is scaring me, it could lessen the vaccine's effects against it. It soundslike long term that isn't a big deal, they should be able to boost it up to fight that variant, but short term it's a concern since the current vaccine may only dampen it.

UK one doesn't sound that scary in terms of fighting it, so there is that even though some believe it may be more deadly. Take the proper precautions either way.

Sadly this too. It could be a much higher than 40%.

Really though 40% isn't even that scary of a number if we're talking this early on. We need a lot of them to change their mind, but I believe it's about 70% that we need to feel like we for sure have herd immunity. If these 40% are steadfast against a vaccine, then that's a problem, but typically some of the people saying no change their mind after more testing and more success. If just 40% refuse right now, I don't think it's out of the question that 10% change their mind if the vaccine is shown to be safe and effective.

If just 10% refuse to get the vaccine then we are in an amazing place and a damn miracle happened.

About time we start helping families during this pandemic. My sister has 4 kids and has been a stay at home mom during covid, my brother in law has been superman making ends meet. Groceries alone for an average family can reach absurd levels, so it's good to see people like them get future assistance.

I said a while back that Albany would have next to no one show up. Trumpers aren't really in Albany and in past protests they have been too lazy to drive there.
