Ninja Gaiden Black is legit an almost perfect game of its time. 2 was pretty good, a definite downgrade in almost every area and the difficulty went from methodical to outright cheap, but good enough for me to grind Master Ninja. | The-19th-Sparta 02/07/21 2:47:17 AM #1 | Quick background, i'm a 32 year old man who played shooters on console my whole life to varying degrees of success, including being an Onyx level play in Halo. I've always liked the idea of "graduating" to PC, being able to play where the big fish are, join the major leagues so to say, but it was always a thought in the back of my mind, not an actual dream. I first played Overwatch on Xbox in February 2018, and though I had an on-and-off playing basis with the game, I still loved it and can easily say it's my #1 shooter to play in recent years. I finally decided to start playing on PC last month since I got sick with my stomach issues. Being a lifelong controller user, switching to KBM was very tough, and was very akin to a career change, I was completely useless at the start. For the first time in ages though, I was actually determined to get good at something and wanted to experience what I have been seeing other people experiencing my whole life, and felt that I was missing out. Not wanting to hinder the experience of others, I stuck to playing vs AI for the first week or so, then I started to move into Arcade shenanigans, then Quickplay, mostly playing heroes like Rein/Sigma/Torb/Widow/Mercy. I knew it would be rough moving onto Quickplay, but I can only face the AI for so long and I know I need to play other humans to actually improve. Dying a lot as a KBM noob isn't what's rough though, it's how harsh people can be about it. Yes, I know i'm inviting mockery, but I can only take so much of it before it starts getting to me. Almost every game, and i'm not exaggerating, it's almost legit every game (probably because i'm that bad), my team turns on me like angry dogs whether or not i'm tank, DPS, or healer, but i'm honest to god trying my best. I was told 3 days ago to stick with one hero if i'm new and I thought to myself, "alright, ill stick with who I want to get good at with then", so Widow it was. I did main her on console so I knew how to position with her, I just needed to develop the KBM skills. People are brutal man, i'll get shit talked through both voice chat and in-game party chat, even from the other team at times. I'm not a complete pussy, i've played shooters since I was a teenager, but it's starting to fuck with me mentally to the point where i'll second guess my own aiming even before taking the shot, and then when I eventually miss the shot itself and die, i've stopped thinking, "Damn, let's try again", I now think instead, "Fuck...here comes the insults". If it's not my aiming, it's my accent they insult so I even turned off my own voice chat now. I want to keep trying, but i've quickly lost my motivation, which is a shame because this game is so fun on a mechanical level and I see other people have so much fun. I already feel like I don't belong anywhere in life, and it saddens me that this will probably be another failed goal of mine. --- Remembering the EPICNESS one GameFAQs post at a time. |

Great concept with an "explorable" Silent Hill , but obviously limited on what they were able to do and the overall engine was a complete mess. Correct with elegance. He was powerless in his youth and saw people like him, including his own sister, not being able to have equal opportunity of the common man and to be able to live a life that only dreams were made of (cue Wiegraf's speech about dreams). However, he did not want to be on top merely to have power and control people as an act of retribution. He wanted to become king to create a land where people like his sister didn't have to suffer anymore, and though his actions to get there ranged from understandable to flat out evil, he did not share much sympathy of his victims due to the quality of the hierarchy that controlled the very nation that oppressed people like him. I did use the word "much" there, because the ending showed he did feel some empathy with how he lamented over Ovelia's death and questioned if Ramza found what he was looking for. Delita did want to also give Ovelia a life she deserved considering the truth of her own existence, but unfortunately, his actions also drew the suspicion of his once closest ally. It's completely okay to hate Delita as a character, he's chaotic in nature, abandoning your childhood friends and shanking the tragic princess are definitely worthy of judgment. I just sometimes see people hating Delita for those alone and not keeping in mind why he did them.
