Comcast is one of the scummiest companies in the country. But the US is absolutely enormous and it would be impossible for, say, every telecom to lay cables across the entire country. It's just prohibitively expensive once you get past the suburbs, and most of the country is, well, open country. So the telecoms colluded to divide up the regions that they would serve, e.g., I don't have comcast in my area, I only have spectrum and FIOS.

The faulty touchscreen is a design flaw that can't really be fixed with software patches, it has only 6GB RAM, and the screen is only 1080p with super old gorilla glass which are both worse than an S8. For MSRP it's a hard pass but at $350 whatever I guess. The touchscreen is the only real problem at that price.

A big open world game where all of the NPCs stay in one spot repeating their scripted blurb or waiting for you to interact with them is unbelievably boring.

When my 360 RRoD'd I went to their website and filled out some form, they mailed me a shipping box and prepaid label for it, and I got it back within a couple weeks. I haven't bought a microsoft console since and probably never will again, but I can't say I had a terrible experience. A company that acknowledges the problem and fixes it for free is A-OK in my book.
