The thing about the pre-existing argument is that they were living with those pre-existing conditions until they get Covid. Were supposed to eliminate the fact that they had Covid, though.
The causes of death , on paper, are complications due to Covid.
It gets simplified in the news to Covid related deaths.

Some years ago in Los Angeles, a Medi-Vac helicopter picked up a critically injured car accident victim and crashed on its way to the hospital. He had a pre-existing condition, but thats not why he died.

I dont question the health care system.
I question politicians that say things like We shouldnt put public health and safety ahead of the economy that I have a huge problem.
As long as that mentality is completely disconnected from health care, Im fine.

Well, I was hesitant because I didnt know much about how it was made. Last night they had dr Fauci on tv taking questions and he broke it down well. I mean, I have a decent understanding of how viruses work and how the vaccine interacts with it.
Im not hesitant anymore.
I know that a lot of people will not understand it, not because Im smarter than they are but because I took the time to learn about it and many people wont sit dont long enough to learn much of anything. Sorry but its true.
My hesitation came primarily out of concern of the fact that government and most industry puts money over health. They would make it out of sugar water if they thought that would keep people working. None of them are involved in so that relieved me.
Im pretty far down the line of receiving it so by the time my number is called, most everyone will have had the shot.
Even after that though, the mask will be as normal as underwear for me. Ill wear one from now on when out of the house.

I wouldnt eat either one because in order to know what poop tastes like, you had to have tasted it. So the guy making the poop flavored chocolate has to have handled poop and that means it got on his hands and that means that either way your eating poop at some level.

I never understood why some countries lie so badly about their numbers. Like obviously it's to make them look good, but if no one believes them then are they succeeding? If China under-reported by a factor of ten they can still achieve their goal of "looking good" while seeming believable to the general population.

Back in 1976 there was a massive earthquake in Tangshan, China. It was originally said to have been 8.1 but it was downgraded to 7.6 or something like that.
The reason it was downgraded was because, at the time, any earthquake 8.0 or above meant that assistance from other countries was mandatory. It would trigger an automatic response for humanitarian reasons. To prevent outsiders from coming into China, they reduced the magnitude. The entire City was destroyed and the death toll is believed to be only a third of the actual figure.
Could be things like that at play with this

America is a huge country. There are regional differences.
Where I live breakfast usually consists of something bought on the go at a fast food establishment)some kind of burrito or breakfast sandwich) and eaten while you drive to work, between texting, makeup/shaving, cell calls and screaming at the cars beside, in front and behind you.
Maybe a sit down breakfast occurs 4 times a month.
You can't eat beans while driving unless they're in a smoothie...
Probably start seeing those on the menu at Mac Donald's any day now.

My friend thats been working with Covid patients since it hit CA told me about this back in April. Its not news to front line workers.
There will be more news to come.
Trust me.
Everything shes told us ends up being news, 2-4 months later.
people that still believe its political or a hoax or anything other than a new, unknown virus are going to learn the hard way. Its almost a guarantee.
Here in CA, it was said that numbers are BEGINNING to go down and today, nearly everyone is walking around without a mask.
Get ready for surge 2 within the first wave...

Its the first thing out of my mouth for any invitation to anything.

Im going to be very honest and its pertaining to introverts.

Introverts always have something to do. We are our own best friends.
Our goal in life is creating free time.
Almost every invitation to something is an intrusion on the time we worked so hard to create.
We dont energize on socializing.
We energize on quiet.
we would rather read a book, play a game, or watch a movie than be in a room full of small talkers.
Small talk is our enemy.
TC, if your flakey friends are introverted and you want to spend time with them, you have to start off by giving them time limits and options.
Meet up with me for drinks. = I want hours of 1 on 1 uninteresting conversation AT you in the mind of an introvert.
To get a better response you might try-
Im going to be at (where ever) having some drinks WITH a couple of friends. You should swing by and have a beer on your way home or Stop by for 30 minutes
You have provided an out=option to leave when theyre ready. Chances are high that that 30 minutes will turn in to 2 or 3 hours.
A couple of times of that and an enjoyable time will become the associated default to your invitations.
Again, Im just providing you some insight into the mind of an introvert, which I am.

You have to be more fun/interesting than what we already have planned, because being alone is our favorite thing.
