But if you're going that route, knowing most people aren't open minded, then you have to go the extra extra mile to justify that criticism and the eventual death sentence.

Reframing the encounter between Joel and Abby's dad works for open minded people, they can interpret that as a different point of view from Abby and her father. But if you're not, you're not going to appreciate the game essentially gaslighting you into retconning how the encounter was setup.

In part 1 I believe the firefly doctors actually tried multiple times to create a vaccine with people just like Ellie (people who were immune to the infection) and they failed. So Joel was right all along saving her life. Not only that it just goes against the principles of doctors, like they couldn't find another way to create a vaccine without sacrificing someone's life? People hate the game because they ruined the characters particularly Ellie. Ellie was completely unlikable towards the end, and many people have said that is a huge reason why they hate the game or dislike the story.

People don't understand the story is built around raw human emotion and their only argument for the "bad story" is that THe chARActers ARe ACtiNG STUpid, even though that's the whole point of the game.

You have be an empath to fully understand the game, and a lot of people are not, sadly.

And Abby's section is the best part of the game.

Raw human emotion? You mean the whole plot was not only predictable but completely contrived, especially when Joel dies. They turn Ellie into a piece of **** with no moral, honor, or decency whatsoever. She's like a mindless raged up woman who kills everyone in Seattle, yet fans are suppose to get behind her? Naughty Dog ruined her character.

They make a big deal about some random NPC doctor in part 1, and somehow he becomes a focal point in the story. None of the characters in the game were likable imo, all of them are hypocrites. Then to top it off the story is so all over the place you will find your self so confused its not even funny. 1 year ago-1 month ago-3 years ago-2 years ago-present day-4 months ago-present day-5 years ago-8 months ago- present day. You get the point.

Well naughty dog ruined her character. I watched some of the youtube videos criticizing the game and they were right, the whole thing with Joel dying out of nowhere and Ellie going to Seattle for revenege felt really contrived. That's why I didn't care that Joel died. It was poor writing.

Some of the plot points didn't make sense, like why didn't Abby kill off Ellie and the rest of the gang when they had the chance? Knowing full well Ellie was going to come look for them.

To be honest when Joel died I really didn't care, I was thinking "oh look a plot twist". Calling Ellie a bad guy would be an understatement. When she went to Seattle she just killed everything on sight, even killing a pregnant lady, and torturing one of Joel's killers.

And she would have never moved out if she hadn't looked for Abby for her closure.

I would have liked the story more if Abby just killed Ellie in the theater.

No it doesn't make him a bad guy, because he believed that someone sacrificing themselves for a cure is not a good option. And humanity wasn't eradicated by part 2.

Like I said before the plot of Joel dying felt contrived. You weren't feeling Ellie's anger, it was just she had to get revenge because "Joel died". But throughout the game she loses character, she practically has little to no moral or honor anymore, you don't understand her actions, it's just senseless killing. In the end you practically despise her, I know I did. That's not a good story imo.

You couldn't tell the difference between who was the "good guy" or the "bad guy". Hey genius, it's been like that since the first game. Or did you think Joel not giving Ellie a choice in what she wanted and dooming humanity made him a good guy?

The first game the characters particularly Joel and Ellie were far less villainous, and you can reason for what they did. Joel thought Ellie didn't need to be sacrificed to save humanity, you can understand his point of view. From my point of view a protagonist has to have some moral and honor, and it was completely gone in the 2nd game. They had none. None of the good guys were likable, but you couldn't reason their actions at all. That's just my opinion on a good story, but there is a reason why this game has lots of critics.

Out of nowhere Joel dies for practically no reason, and then Ellie and her gang go on some revenge trip in Seattle. You can't get any more contrived then that. They travel to Seattle for more pointless/senseless murder, it's basically everyone killing each other for no reason. By the end of the game you couldn't tell the difference between who was a "good guy" or "bad guy". Although it was clear as day Ellie and her gang were the real villains. Ellie was completely unlikable towards the end, she had little to no morals.

This ending is far more hopeful than part I because it shows that Ellie can actually move on and begin to live her life. Part I set up the reveal of Joel's actions and the consequences from that.

She barley moved on, which is not in anyway honorable. Had she just stayed in the farmhouse yeah you can say she moved on, but she had to go follow Abby to LA..

A good story doesn't always have to relate to real life. It's a fictional story therefore it's all about the characters and how they are written. Lack of foreshadowing, contrived emotions, ruined the game for me. And the directions for the main characters, especially for Joel and Elly didn't make sense.

But all Trump did was increase the size of government to 2.5 trillion dollars more than the Obama administration. Poverty/suicides/and inflation all increased under Trump.

English is not really a bad language. It only seems bad because a lot of Americans are uneducated and speak butchered English like ebonics. Also a lot of native English speakers are not multilingual.

His trade war with China. The trade deal bankrupted many US farmers and then Trump had to bail them out with $38 billion dollars of tax payer money just to keep them afloat. It created inflation for home appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators (see link). And he blacklisted a company that made the best smartphones (Huawei).

The hidden costs on the PS5 is absolutely ridiculous. The MSRP for a video game is now $70. Storage on the PS5 not only comes with little space, but to buy compatible SSDs is very expensive. They could have just went with regular SSDs to save the consumer costs, but when has Sony ever thrown the consumer a bone?

I've never seen Sony so blatant with nickeling and diming the consumer. Every next-gen console release Sony/Nintendo/MIcrosoft becomes more and more of a control freak.

I don't know why Trump loves Twitter so much, you read the replies it's just filled with haters bashing him. But yeah, I don't understand the move of twitter banning him.

The thing is I don't understand why people are defending Trump as if he's some savior to this country. He didn't drain the swamp, he's no fiscal conservative, he didn't challenge the status quo. Trump talks about the evils of socialism, but he signed every spending bill into law, even that stimulus check. The debt and the budget deficits exploded under his term. There is nothing to defend Trump about if you are an actual fiscal conservative. Trump is no different than Obama, and in some ways worse.

Is he the worst president in US history? Yeah I think so.

Consoles are not affected by regular inflation. They are affected by demand exceeding supply though since that triggers resalers to purchase consoles and sell them at higher prices. Giving everyone a bit of money can temporarily increase the demand and therefore the price the resalers can charge, but would have no long-term effects on the price of a PS5.

When the value of dollar goes down due to excess of money printing and we are talking about in the trillions here, that's going to causes prices to rise. Inflation spreads all across many goods, some of the price increases are noticeable, some are not. In this case, in this economy, I think it's going to be noticeable on consoles.

In a normal healthy economy, it's a bit more concrete if console prices are fluctuating due to supply and demand. But in this economy where the cost of everything is going up, there is hidden taxes all over the place. The inflation tax, sales tax, taxes on businesses, and that tax is going to be put on electronic goods one way or another.

The stimulus bill is basically a tax, will that tax transfer to the PS5? Probably. Yes there is the supply and demand issue, but the inflation tax it will be there too. Inflation effects mostly tangible objects, look at the price of food and refrigerators, it has gone up the last 4 years. We don't know how much this bill will effect retailers when they want to sell the PS5. We don't know if prices will go up because of a lack of supply or inflation. But most likely both, which is the worst type of price increase.

The PS5 is probably going to cost $700 now. That 900 billion stimulus is just printed money, so the cost of food/insurance/housing/electronics goods/your bills, it's all going to go up. The stimulus it's just inflation.

Yup Trump is no different than Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Shumer, Lindsey Graham, Joe Biden, and your typical establishment politician. This is a guy who campaigned as someone who is an outsider, who was going to shake up Washington, and drain the swamp. When Trump has proven he's no different than Obama, Bush Jr, and other previous presidents before him.

Makes me wonder why the democrats hate him, their policies are almost identical.

I read a book about 19th century america once. It's funny how different it is from today yet at the same time how so many of the divisions and issues of the day seem to have survived in different forms to this day.

I am assuming America back then was more homogeneous and there was a lot less social anxiety disorder.

It used to be Dick Grayson, but the current story on Night Wing I don't like it. Right now Huntress is my favorite (Helena Bertinelli). I still like Grayson though.

Politics
-I believe all animals should be legal to own. Owning an animal as a pet is a fundamental right no matter what animal it is.
-Copyright/patent/trade secret laws should be abolished. It's what allows video game and tech companies to be anti-consumer.
-The US constitution is nothing more then a bureaucratic document that makes it impossible to fix any of the problems the US is facing.
-Compulsory education laws should be repealed.

Video Games
-I hated Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky and many of the other Legend of Heroes games.
-I thought Persona 4 was overrated.
-I didn't like the story in Dragon Quest 11.

We shouldn't be giving any money to Egypt, Sudan, Venezuela, or Sudan. With that money we can buy homes for all the homeless people. No wonder this country is so ****ed, our lawmakers run up the budget as if it was a credit card.

No he died in prison. His lawyers desperately filed a motion for compassionate release, but federal prosecutors and a federal judge determined that some crimes are too heinous for compassion.

I agree with the judge, he didn't deserve any compassion whatsoever.
