btw for those who didn't know super robot wars A portable is also translated plus super robot wars gamecube as well but i think It's incomplete and being revised the final patch will have most of the battle dialog redone but so far it's playable in the story section

I should have instead said that it wasnt presented in the plot in a meaningful way or even at all. Like something should have happened to one of the characters where they forgot something crucial and it should have been presented as a mystery of some sort.

It could have been done well or at least much better than it was.

i get what you mean but as i said the game was rushed(like MGS5) which made the team dump most of the world lore in the info tab and garden pc hack one of the character had most of her growth in there and most players would miss it if they don't check it
and also norg was foreshadowed as well there

It's not so much that it's bad because they all used to know eachother, it was the way they executed it that was horrible. There was no hints or signs throughout the game that GF's made you lose your memories. All of that together was nuts.

.....ah i am pretty sure the ingame info tab had a foreshadowing about it in there but then again due to the game being rushed and cut content i can't blame people feeling the plot feeling disjointed

ff7 just happened to be many baby's first

this i love how most here cry about Junctioning system while praising the material system even tho by the end of the game outside of Kotr summon most of the magic is meh and the fights can be over with just clouds final limit break lol

its not really enemies leveling up with you. the junction system is cool but also flawed: using spells is pointless after a while.

Nevermind things like a successful strategy is getting lionheart disk 1, keeping squall at 25% health and "re-rolling" for limit breaks every turn.

You can break the game six ways from sunday pretty much from the start.

i mean you can do that to a lot of games it's not like it's just 8 where you can be broken
and again while it's system is flawed i still found it fun and as for the enemies lvling up with was the most point i saw people complain about for years on the FF8 board back in the day

I loved FF8 but it was a really messy game, from the battle system to the story, so it makes sense.

disagree on the battle system i loved enemy's lving up along with me which forced me to play with the game mechanic's pros and cons but i get why pure rpg fans weren't happy about it and as for the story this was square soft still being clunky with their english translation plus the game being rushed (just like chrono cross and xenogears)

they do have some benefits and more so in upscaling images if you like to do your own HD texture for old gen games via emu currently there is a work in progress of a program that will grab the native texture and auto upscale it as you play for psp games my card chokes on the process but meh it still new and next year hopefully AMD brings out a decent card i am going team red i am not paying that much for a gpu

they maybe old but to me the drivers have matured enough to be stable and plus as i said i don't need my cards to be the latest gpu on the market my gaming is mostly emu playing ether ps2 or GC and mostly 16 bit era games plus indie
and besides if i don't find it on the market i can buy the 20 series next year (maybe not if 2021 is worse then this year) right now i don't have the leeway to use my money on hobbys due to covid and the current state of the job market
