Good to see in the news some more positive news about the J&J vaccine and its ability to hold up against the Delta variant. It appears to be faring better than it's AstraZeneca counterpart.

Also saw on the news our state has had a total of only 14 fully vaccinated deaths. Median age of those was 84. All with underlying health conditions.

It's funny how the same people saying "I told you so" about a potential .00001% chance of blood clots in the vaccine are the same people who kept on saying that the 1% death rate of COVID was so low we shouldnt be worrying about it.

Yeah, I was confused about that too when reading through these comments. I mean, either you guys are hardcore Marvel fans or did a lot of fan theory reading to know who agatha harkness even is beforehand. In which case, no duh you saw it coming. But for the other 99% of the population, this came as an out of nowhere surprise.

Okay, I feel dumb. I just finished the episode. Can someone explain the Agatha Harkness twist?

Is she a villain built inside Wanda's world for the imaginary viewers?

Or is she some sort of sentient witch that has been playing around in Wanda's world without Wanda's knowledge?

What about her actions make her a villain persay? Leading up to this episode, I was thinking Wanda was the villain and the Sword guy trying to get back Vision's body as some sort of Gaston-like character.

You cant measure skill/talent/play objectively at all. Is he the best-skilled QB ever? Probably not. But who is? And how are you measuring it? By a season? By a game? By one play? Average perception of skill level throughout the career? If they can run and pass?

Saying that he is not the GOAT because he isn't the most talented QB is ridiculous. The measure of such is so subjective and immeasurable that you pretty much are saying that no QB could ever be called the GOAT because this important aspect is unquantifiable. I mean, they've tried with the QBR, but many even consider that flawed.

He's tops in championships and statistics. He is the objective GOAT. And this is coming from a Packer fan who will always hold Brett Favre as my personal GOAT.

The crooks in Wall Street finally figured out how to beat the Reddit army. Just bribe, bully, intimidate the selling platforms to block buying of the stock. Alas. If this is the end, at least a lot of average Joes were able to make some quick cash. The idealists will be crushed though.

Unfortunately at least one hedge fund, Melvin Capital, which seemed to invest quite heavily in shorts, just got a $2.75 billion bailout from other investment firms. Why would they do that? Who knows. But I am enjoying watching David beat up on Goliath here. I just wish to God I had bought some GME stocks. I just never do stock trading though (outside of my 401k), but goodness, this sure makes me want to.

Me and a friend spent quite a bit of time arguing who would win in a fight. I stand firm Saitama would win because he (1) is invincible and (2) can defeat anyone in one punch. This is based solely on the 2 season tv series. Never read the Manga.

My 2-cents on news bias that nobody here is going to agree with but I feel like sharing anyway.

Local news here in Wisconsin continues to harp on the lack of vaccines sent to us and the need for more vaccines, the shortage really slowing down the process of getting people vaccinated. Meanwhile CNN front page is glowingly praising Biden for his aggressive plan to get people vaccinated. I just wonder, if Trump was still President, the headlines on CNN would instead be berating Trump for the delays in vaccine distribution.

Honestly, I would watch a whole season of these black and white sitcom-style episodes if they can continue being as funny as the first two have been.

I will say though, that having watched (and enjoyed) the movie Pleasantville several times over the years, the whole colorization aspect was underwhelming to me. Having seen that played out already in television kind of wears off the novelty of it.

Ours all seem to have cozy relationships with mom & pop pizza restaurants within the same strip mall. I thought it was just a unique joint venture with the one near me, but I heard two others in my areas had similar arrangements.

wow, that was hilarious. When Wanda fake faints in the first episode, I think I finally lost it. Had to pause the show and compose myself for a moment. The whole show had me in stitches. The mystery surrounding it all is very intriguing as well.

Also, in case you werent aware. Disney + also kicked off a Legends series to give a recap on some of these characters. It was definitely helpful to me!

I will echo the comments of someone else, that I don't know if young people will enjoy this as much since a lot of the classic sitcom style may go over their heads.

To anyone who is curious, I did go there last night and it was a complete bust. The shelves were half empty and the remaining stuff was priced too high for a liquidation sale in my opinion. There werent any PS4 games under $9.99 and the few "newish" titles left were marked as high as $39.99. Even movies weren't very cheap, with their newer titles marked over $10 and their cheapest deals on older vids being $4.99 or 2/$8. Considering there is a large bin of DVDs at Wal-Mart selling for $3.99 a piece, this isn't a great deal. The liquidation sale was already going on a week at this point though and it is a populated area, so possibly there were some steals that were swooped up early.

I was about to head over to the local one tonight just to see if there are any good video game deals, but I'm worried that the good ones probably got swooped up immediately and/or the prices are high. I watched mulan once it became free on Disney plus. Having heard all the negativity about it, I was expecting a dumpster fire. By the end, it surpassed my expectations. It's not that bad. Still worse than the cartoon by a mile, but the hate is a bit overdone in my opinion.

There are a lot of resources available to help poor people get food, etc. As such, most of the panhandlers out there are just looking for cigarette or alcohol money, or worse. The concept of the "noble poor" going to the streets to try to get some change to feed their children is by and large a thing of the past. As such, if you are going to give, donate to established charities or offer them something tangible like food.

Is everyone new to ebay or something? This kind of thing happens for literally every product imaginable. I know when I've searched for video games, there's always a manual only sale (despite showing the game on the photo) or case only sales for retail price of the game. I've seen it for other products too. It's an ongoing scam that ebay never has done anything about.

This article may have already been posted. I dont always read everything in this topic. But its a story of a nurse in South Dakota talking about how some patients just refuse to accept that they have covid and blame it on something else, all the way down to their dying breath. No doubt Covid affects everyone differently, and while most are fine, it does hit some very hard.

Some of those boisterous deniers are ones that get hit hard with it, and if you think it causes them to have a change of heart, you might want to think otherwise. Many of those kind of people will simply deny it to their death.

Arg, my very first instinct was to take the Browns this week. I saw though they still have the Jets upcoming so I decided to save them. Woops. Went on an unecessary wim with the Cowboys. Sadly, they actually couldve won that game had they not tried that crazy fake punt. Alas. Good luck to the remaining contestants. My dad accidentally bought a gaming chair and its really uncomfortable for him. I tried sitting in it, and while it looks super cool, it is very uncomfortable. My opinion is an office chair beats a gaming chair in comfort.
