I was able to find a lot of water at Lowes. I bought 4 packs of water bottles. Not sure what area of Texas you're in, but maybe check at Lowe's or Home Depot.

I learned that these kind of places carry bottled water at the start of the pandemic, and the price to oz ratio is pretty good too. Places like best buy have been known to carry water as well, but be ready to pay out the nose for it.

Yup, totally the wind turbines fault. Even though they provide maybe 15% of the power, it is all their fault. Not the other 85% that comes from gas and coal. Nope, strictly that damn green energy.

Honestly, I can't understand the freakouts. Live in the suburban chicago area and have been through winter blackouts before. Is it mostly a lack of blankets and clothes that are causing such an issue to stay home? Seen people here talking about using their cars, and seems like such a worse idea. Carbon Monoxide poisoning is real and people tend to be idiots about it. Keep a window cracked and the tailpipe cleared at a minimum. But it might only buy you a day or so, if the gas pipes are frozen and you can't refill at the local station.

Probably my favorite RPG, and it can be dark, but at the same time, they really cranked up the humor. Where the first one had a few jokes and nods here and there, this one has Joachim and all the stuff leading to the Man Festival.

Was the damage done to her strictly due to the temperature of the coffee? Or was her age a major factor in how bad it was (loss of skin thickness or elasticity)?

Wonder if McDonald's downplayed it because prior victims didn't have the same extent of injury, so they could make it look like she was exaggerating.

No, I didn't actually sue him. I called the police and I recall that they seemed to roll their eyes a bit over something they thought was ridiculous. Until they learned the potential value of the cards. Went to court, but he plead guilty, so I didn't have to testify or anything. About two months later, I got a check from the state of Missouri, about which a third went to Seventh Sea cards.

Honestly, it wasn't even about the value of the cards. I was betrayed and pissed off.

Most of the illegal aliens in this country come from people overstaying visas, not hopping the southern border. Mirror Universe, Argivian Archaeologist, Old Man of the Sea, Palladia Mors. That is like $1k right there. Had a full set of revised and the dark. Handful of Antiquities and Arabian Nights. A few beta and unlimited cards. Maybe about half of the Legends set (mostly uncommon and rare, thanks to packaging fuck up)

20+ years ago, I thought the $900 check I got from the court was pretty good, since I think the highest value card at the time was maybe $30.

Nope. You were never going to make a large branching story where all the choices across three games had meaningful differences.

There is a reason why very few things have satisfying endings in general. Let alone getting programming a multiple branching game.

This is why I am curious about those excited for the next Mass Effect game. Are they the same people who slammed the ending of ME3 for making their choices irrelevant? Are they suddenly OK with Bioware making one of the choices cannon?

I never got the hate for the end of the trilogy, mainly because I was aware there was no way they could account for every possibility a player made. As for the stuff like the Rachni Queen not mattering, I get that too. I would have been more upset to find out there was a mission I couldn't do because of a choice I made 2 games ago.

It does seem to be an overlooked gem. I remember not knowing it even existed until I saw it in a store back when it was released. A brief check looks like it came out right before MegaMan X2, which definitely wouldn't have helped.

Shame, because it is a solid game. Alternate routes through each level leading to different bosses. Multiple endings depending on when you take on the final boss and what power-ups you have. My only complaint was that it was clunky having to go to the menu every time to change form or breath type.

Reminds me of like a decade ago, when Cartoon Network decided to run ALL the old looney tunes. They more or less showed them in chronological order. But the ones with the blatant stereotypes and racism, they held them back to air during the wee hours of the night, along with disclaimers.

This has to be it! For some reason it says I only have 5 hours of online play, which makes absolutely no sense. But if it only counts when in a party, that would clear it up for sure, since I was not in a party very often the entire year.

Got to be the bummer her. My interaction with others in the game is buying/selling from vending machines and doing less than 5 events where another person was present, I mean, I could boot up the game to see what that says (or it will at least tell me whether I have less than 76 hours. But meh, effort.

'Puny God' was not only far and away the best moment in the first Avengers movie, it was arguably the top moment in all of Phase 1 (though it's been a decade since I've seen the first Iron Man, so I'm sure there's still a few moments there that I'm forgetting that could compete). 'I'm always angry' was also a top-tier moment.

Would you give Banner the best moment in phase 2 then? I thought him jumping out of the plane in Ragnarok, and faceplanting on the ground is what I'll always remember from the movie. You're expecting a super-hero landing as the Hulk, only to watch Bruce ragdoll on impact.

As a BLM, I used to envy the RDMs. They made kiting/stalling and soloing look so easy.

I'd pretty much get 1-2 shot even with Stoneskin at end game. Meaning that if a sleep or gravity (if subbing RDM) got resisted, I could kiss my butt good bye.

BLM felt so useless in XI it made me quit lol. About all we were useful for was Warp II lmao. Though I did play with a linkshell for a while that had a barrage of BLM that'd nuke then sub out to gain MP whilst another BLM nuked.

In reality, I was probably just bad at BLM :P

Scholar helped fill in the gaps when learning. Used to use it to reliably solo the Up In Arms BCNM 60. Never got the Kraken Club though.

As for the poll, BLU is where it's at. LOL at me for my first job at FFXI being MNK/WHM so I could unlock it. I knew nothing about good subs, just that BLU was always my favorite in the past. I will admit that THF started to surpass it though. Dual wielding with triple attack had me swinging non-stop, while I dodged almost everything they threw at me.

My Oma used to make the most wicked cucumber salad when I was growing up. I miss it so much.

I have a hard enough time following through with plans I make a few days in advance. When the day comes, I just might not be in the mood to do it anymore.

Being a parent requires a 24/7 commitment that I don't think I have in me. I was fine with being an uncle. I could spend time with young kids playing with them, but when I just needed to get away and be by myself for awhile, I could do that. I wasn't the parent, so handing them back to mom or dad didn't make me feel any guilt.

Retirement thingy is some automatic thing tho, but with my salary Id get a shitty retirement pay.

This is what pisses me off when people say it is easy to start saving. They don't realize paycheck to paycheck can be a literal description. I had times where if I wasn't scheduled to work, I didn't eat that day. Or the only cash you have is what you find in couch cushions or jacket pockets. Setting aside $20 a month is hard if you can't even come with $10 that hasn't been claimed for laundry or food already in the upcoming two weeks.

Haven't watched it since the final season aired. My reason for hating Skyler had nothing to do with her being a woman. I hated that after jumping in with both feet to help with the money laundering, she later started acting like nothing was her fault.

The issue was they don't act or sound like they are from the same universe that Star Trek takes place in. Literally half the show is a giant metaphor for 9-11 and the American attitude towards it.

That's exactly it. This isn't the star trek universe everybody knows. It doesn't exist yet. Remember, it takes place like 100 years before the original series. Makes sense to me that human's aren't all peaceful and benevolent yet.

I know when it came out, people were bitching that they weren't "acting like starfleet officers would". No kidding, there is no starfleet yet and they are the first people out there.

It is a show I really enjoyed. Only complaint was the series finale. They set it up with Riker as a framing device, going over their mission in a holodeck. Had the feel of a backdoor pilot from TNG than a proper Enterprise episode.

Sounds like I'm the only one annoyed at the combat in this game. Got to a point where I stopped playing because I was sick and tired of getting shot by an arrow, which knocked me on my ass. Get back up, only to be knocked down again. Wasn't fun at all.

No complaints about the story and was enjoying it otherwise.

I probably put about 200 hours into Breath of the Wild. I remember watching someone else play from the beginning on Twitch some time after that. I can't remember exactly what happened, but the streamer did something and my reaction was "... ... ... You can do that!?"

Played through Bloodborne at least 10 times. Watched many different blind playthroughs of it. But one I checked out a few months ago discovered that in the chapel before BSB, you can knock down the chandelier and set the ground on fire. Always noticed the floor looked kind of wet, but this was the first time I knew that was even a thing.

I would say Edith Finch. Has a wide variety of storytelling settings for the various family members, so it feels fresh the whole way through.

The only game I've played that gave me mixed feelings was Everybody's Gone to the Rapture. Had a nice feel to the world and was neat to slowly find out what happened. But the walking speed was abysmal. Default felt like crawling baby with broken legs speed. A patched "run button" moved that up to crawling baby.
