imo your best use for spare training is going to be Horses if you can reach A rank, Flying if you're going for a dodge tank, and else Leadership for a stronger battalion and its perks

Art. The Delita/Ovelia scene is absolutely amazing and helps wrap up the Delita arc.

As for everyone's fate:

- Ramza and Alma probably lived by virtue of Occam's Razor and the whole FMV. Yes, they should have died in underground hell imo but a) it's a final fantasy and b) them being ghosts or whatever is just extra and unsupported steps. Magic stones did some deus ex machina bullshit as the explosion blew them to safety.

- No other units are featured because there's a chance someone was booted or turned into a crystal so they needed to make the end work for literally any party

- Yeah, Olan died at the stake to keep the truth hidden. Balmafula was a bit strange because it was implied that she was killed in an early scene, but apparently was just beaten up or something.

- Rocking Def Up support from Oracle might be prudent. Pretty much everyone in this fight is physical; you're up against a lot of wave fist and earth slash. Maybe combo it with some slurry of damage split, protect, move hp up, life song, etc.

- Maybe some status? Stealing hearts might work, idk what status resistances the God classes have. And or Hail Mary Invite, or mimicing daravon, or Paralyze. Stigma magic can't cure Stop, and you have access to Hell Ivy....

- Teleport/fly/ignore height. The walls of the fort are valid locations and a lot of these enemies don't seem to have a lot of attacks that would be able to reach a crew, and then you toggle in a bunch of skills that don't have height restrictions and just rain down literal death.

portion control, mostly with foods I eat regularly. Caloric deficit to 500 minus TDEE (roughly BMR) to lose about 1 lb/week. Offset loss of food portion with low calorie veggies/fiber to help satiety. Plan everything about a day before so it's just a matter of math and execution.

probably just standard procedure with temps, tbh. Like, 90% of your job will be XY, but also you'll be our bitch in charge of dealing with Z for 10% of your time.

If the written terms of your job were only dealing with XY, then they try to make you do Z, then you have some defense against that.

It's probably not an outright bait and switch where they say they're looking for an accountant (e.g.) and then you get thrown into a walk in freezer with a cleaver for 10 hours a day.

The replay value is poop because it's so formulaic. Like, I'd rather replay a Dragon Quest game, and that's saying something.

I played the hell out of gen1 and gen1 (blue and gold) and then set the series down for a spell. Picked up 5th gen (Black) and I barely made it past the second gym before being bored because it was so same-y.

no you don't. It's net better (in vanilla) to let Algus die (+2 for the party, -2 to Ramza only if Fort Zeakden fight drags on). If you try to save algus, there is no Br boost at Mandalia, and a +2 to Ramza at Zeakden only if the fight drags on.

But saving Boco and Mustadio is indeed worthwhile.

FFT is pretty easy to break (math skill, mp switch + move mp up, draw out in general, etcetcetc). This buffs up the enemies to somewhat justify that level of breaking rather than holding back on your end in order for the game to be moderately challenging.

Honestly, this. Bad breath can sometimes result in a game over if it's nasty, but fleeing is an option, so is ribbon (sometimes) or remedy/esuna.

But there is no fleeing or undoing a shattered sword. It's reset or accept -- screw that nonsense. Fuck you, Meliadoul, notably, and all your ilk like the knights outside Lionel castle.

Bad Breath (marboro) - STATUS GALORE

Blaster (Cuar / Jaguar types) - Often just an outright OHKO, but some of the variants also have a chance to cause paralysis, petrification, or instant death and bypassing deathproof

Banishment (Void gate in FF5) -- party member is just removed from the fight completely. No revival. Basically Sneeze but a little worse because it can result in an outright game over.

Honorable mention - Kefka's Forsaken (all party HP = 1), but it doesn't make it onto this list because the animation is goddamn awesome.

The only aoe moves pokemon seem to know are limited to 3 targets max as seen by double-triple battles

There are, to date, 932 pokemon.

For the sake of easy math, we'll say each one knows four skills with an average of 20 uses, one of which is AoE. Even assuming every single skill use is a one shot skill, this means they will have killed a little more than 100k lions before run out of PP and rely on Struggle (with recoil damage) to continue fighting. Lions win by doing 0 damage.
