Well I do live right by FIDM in downtown LA. I guess people here are always looking to "network" and I can't help but feel like it's one big popularity contest.

Yeah outside of places like this SoCal is full of normal people.

San Diego is pretty chill as well despite being a bigger city.

I've lived in SoCal all my life. That's probably like some sort of LA/big city attitude to have. Average people around here (outside of super rich or wannabe rich areas) aren't super vapid or judgmental or anything like that.

I've been playing the series since 0 came out in early 2017. I've played one or two of them per year (and maybe a year or two without playing a Yakuza game) and I'm finally on 6 myself. I actually really loved 5, it was one of my favorites.

I'm going to try to finish 6 and 7 this year, with Judgment and the Fist of the North Star game thrown in there at some point too.

Wendy's. Honestly, I like all three burgers/places, but Wendy's has a bit of an edge to me due to the fresh beef.

Sometimes I notice some pink in the burgers from there, also notice it in McDonald's quarter pounders. Probably only ever happens with fresh/non-frozen beef.

Itachi157

I wouldn't if I saw it land on food right in front of me, but even so I probably eat food that flies landed in all the time. In fast food restaurants and such I see flies around the kitchens a lot and I doubt the workers can keep them off the food 100% of the time (or even try to ), and it's kind of unreasonable to expect them to completely keep flies out of the restaurant with the door opening and closing all day. Like if it's absolutely infested with tons of flies that's one thing (I walked out of a place once where there were literal swarms of them in the kitchen) but I won't make a fuss about one or two and I'll still order and eat food.

Topicother than the goofy faces, is mass effect Andromeda really that bad?
Itachi157

It's been a while since I've played, but IIRC It changes the gameplay from mostly linear and focused into typical open world type of stuff (giant map, clear these outposts, etc), and the open world isn't particularly compelling in terms of atmosphere. IIRC it was like a giant desert planet. There might be more open world planets but I don't remember clearly or maybe I didn't get that far.

I never got through more than maybe 1/4 or maybe a little more when I originally played, it just started boring me. The animation and such never bothered me much.

I love the original trilogy and have been playing the legendary editions. I was thinking about giving Andromeda another go after I finish ME3 but I think I may be pretty Mass Effect'd out by the time I'm done, and I can't imagine having the endurance to go through it, especially the first few hours.

I don't remember it ever being this bad as a kid though. We definitely played outside etc in the summer. Either we didn't have the killer heat back then or you just tolerate it better when you're younger.

I would have some rare-ish games if I actually held on to all the games that I owned from the Gamecube/PS2/Xbox era. However, I traded a lot of them in, especially a little later on to get the newest 360 games. Being a teen with no job, that was one of the few ways to get more money to buy games, aside from waiting for Christmas/birthdays. The few I actually kept had some sort of nostalgic value to me, or just weren't worth trading in due to low value.

Off the top of my head for Gamecube I had Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Skies of Arcadia Legends, that Zelda Ocarina of Time Master Quest special edition, and a few others. Nothing super rare but a few things that would probably sell for a decent amount on ebay.

The rarest game I actually kept and have in my possession is probably Twin Snakes (I kept this because I just thought it was a really cool game back then). I still have Melee which I don't think is rare but I hear about it still selling for a decent amount. I also found (and still have) Zone of the Enders 2 and SMT Nocturne for PS2 back when they were somewhat hard to find, but IIRC both of those got reprints/remasters and aren't really valuable/rare anymore.

Also, I still have the special editions of Fatal Frame 1 and 2 for Xbox. I just checked on ebay and they seem to be valuable-ish. So it actually might be one of those rather than Twin Snakes.

Watched the Demon Slayer movie since it's on Funimation now. Overall it was just alright. Flame guy was cool and so were his fights but that was about it. I actually got spoiled on his death way before I watched it so some of the impact was probably lost.Weird out of place comedy moments but I guess that's to be expected especially with anything Zenitsu related. Kind of expected something a little better however due to how much sheer hype it generated and how much money it made, I guess.
