As someone who works in the automotive field in Pennsylvania, I can tell you that state inspections save lives.

There are often times that drivers have serious problems with their vehicles that they don't know about, or are ignorant to.

I've narrowly avoided crashing into a rear axle that literally fell off the rustbucket car in front of me. I think inspections would find this sort of thing
